Chapter 40: True Taste of Galar

(Wild Area, Galar Region)

After passing their basic tests in the Terastal Program, our heroes are taking Peonia back to the Galar Region. They have to wait until a majority of the students pass their basic test for the implementation tests to start. Right now, everyone switched out of their academy uniforms and back into their usual clothes.

The S.S. Harland lands on a good spot at the Wild Area near the gates of Hammerlocke. Soon, everyone gets off the ship.

"Alright! We're back in the Galar Region, buddy!" Ash said to Pikachu.

"Yay! Another region to explore!" Callie said as she held Glowy. "Ready to go, Glowy?!"

Glowy shook in excitement.

"Hmm, I like the grey skies here." Said Marie.

Friede approaches Ash. "Alright, while I take Peonia home, you all can head to Ballonlea for your World Coronation Series battle."

"Okay, Corviknight, let's go!" Ash, let's out one of his Pokemon he caught during his journey in Galar, Corviknight.

Ash and the cousins get on Corviknight and make their way to Ballonlea in the air.

"Bye, Peonia!" Ash shouted in the air.

"See you later!" Peonia waved.

"Well, there they go. Shall I take you home then?" Friede asked Peonia.

"Yes, please. I definitely want to tell my dad about my trip to Paldea as soon as possible." Said Peonia.

With that, Friede has Orla start the ship back up, and they all make their way to the Crown Tundra.

(Ballonlea, Glimwood Tangle)

Deep in the woods of Glimwood Tangle, the gang arrives in the town of Ballonlea. Everyone gets off Corviknight.

"Woah! This town looks so pretty! Look at all these colorful mushrooms!" Shouted Callie.

"Enjoying the dark and quiet scenery." Said Marie.

"Alright, girls, the stadium is just over there." Ash said as he pointed at Ballonlea Stadium.

"Do you mean that big pink stadium over there?!" Callie shouted as she never witnessed a stadium that big before.

"Yep, you'll find out why It's so big soon."

Everyone now makes their way to the stadium. Once inside, Ash sees Opal, the former gym leader, standing in the middle of the lobby.

"Opal!"

Opal turned to face Ash. "Ash, I was most surprised when you called about your return. Now you're actually here."

Ash introduces Opal to his Inkling friends. "Opal, these are my friends from the Inkadia Region, Callie, and Marie."

Immediately, Opal had an interest in Callie and started examining her clothing. "Oh my! You have quite the perfect amount of pink!"

"Umm, thanks....." Callie said in confusion as Opal had all eyes on her pink beanie and her little pink dress shirt sweater.

Opal then turns to Marie. "You green one, you lack the color pink greatly."

"Umm, okay....." Marie said in confusion.

Opal then faces Ash. "As for you, Ash, I thought you would learn after you defeated me in a gym battle."

"Yeah, right....." Said Ash.

"Any hoo, your great challenge awaits you at the battlefield."

"Alright! Bede, here I come!" Ash shouted as he headed straight to the field. When he got there, he was surprised to see Gordie, along with Allister, Klara, and Avery, all waiting on the field.
