Chapter 45: The King's Pit of Torment

Near the giant crater in the middle of the desert, everyone stared at Cuttlefish, wondering what the fuss was about. Finally, after a few seconds, he spoke.

"The Octarians are coming! Again!" Shouted Cuttlefish. "And there's one now!"

Cuttlefish was so loud that Glowy was hiding behind Callie.

"Uh, are you talking about me?" Asked Cirrina.

"Hey, Cirrina is my friend, she's no danger." Said Finn.

"Cuttlefish, I told you that there were already Octolings living with the Inklings of Splatsville." Said Rider.

"Oh, I heavily apologize for my response there, but the Octarians are back!" Cuttlefish shouted again.

"So, DJ Octavio is here." Said Marie. "We'll catch him for sure."

"DJ Octavio?" Wondered Cirrina.

"DJ Octavio is a ruthless leader who's been trying to take the cities power back where we're from." Explained Rider. "He has many Octarian creatures by his side, with a few Octolings that follow him."

"Oh, that's why he was startled to see me?"

"Yes." Said Marie. "Right now, almost all the Octolings that were by his side now live peaceful with the Inklings back home in Inkopolis. But I know there are still a few that want to follow him until the very end. Know doubt they stole the Great Zapfish."

"See, the Great Zapfish has gone missing before. Twice, in fact! And those Octojerks were behind it both times." Said Cuttlefish. "And now we've got to get it back. But I wasn't expecting this many people to come help."

"Yeah! We're more than happy to help a city in need!" Shouted Ash.

Cuttlefish then turns to Brenda. "You, I can feel the heat in your eyes."

"Oh yeah! Brenda is part of the Great Eight! Meaning she's one of the eight strongest Turf War players in Splatsville!" Said Callie.

"This is perfect! Starting today, Brenda, here is Agent 3 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon!" Cuttlefish shouted as he hands Brenda a new Hero Suit. "This is your brand new Hero Suit! It'll help you fight the Octarians."

Brenda takes the suit and puts it on in a second. "Wow, this suit hits perfectly."

"You'll also need this." Cuttlefish said as he then handed Brenda what looked like Hallie's Hero Shot. "Since Hallie is the captain now, she wanted me to give this to whoever would take her place as Agent 3."

"Wait! Hallie is here?!" Asked Callie.

"Yes, she's set up a camp somewhere at the bottom of the crater and is waiting for you all."

Hearing that, the cousins take out their Hero Weapons, and Ash puts on his agent vest that Cuttlefish gave him after making him Agent 4.5 and took out his Dapple Dualies Nouveau. The New Squidbeak Splatoon was now ready, well, almost.

"What about us?" Finn asked as he was referring to himself and Cirrina.

"Oh yeah, take these then." Cuttlefish said as he handed Finn and Cirrina old Hero Suits that looked less interesting and what looked like flat rectangular boring versions of the Hero Shot. "You two can be temporary Agent 3.25 and Agent 3.75."
