Chapter 51: The Great Splatsville Bake Off

(Explorers HQ)

In a large room, Sidian, Chalce, Giada, and even Spinel stood in front of a large alter, awaiting news of their mission in Splatsville. Soon, Hamber shows up and presses a button on a pedestal.

"Master Gibeon, sir, they have returned from their expedition in Alterna." Said Hamber.

Soon, Gibeon spoke in his deep voice. "Ah, I heard about everything you've all accomplished in Inkadia."

"Thank you, sir." Chalce replied.

"Eliminating that bear was a necessity for our goals to be reached." Said Sidian.

Then, Hamber pulls up the footage collected from Chalce. It shows Ash and his Inkling friends fighting Mr. Grizz, then showing his rocket exploding.

"Using them to do the hard work was very fun..." Giada said with her grin.

"Excellent." Said Gibeon. "Now, I heard there some files collected?"

"Yes. Most of them got corrupted, but there were a few that were saved." Said Spinel. "The files Chalce collected shows some of the work Mr. Grizz has been conducting."

Hamber then pulls out a file for some plans of some sort of ray blaster weapon, which got Gibeon's interest.

"Originally, he wanted to create a weapon to shoot a ray of ooze to turn anyone into a freak." Spinel explained. "And Chalce believes that the plans for this weapon could be useful when implying one of the orbs we've collected. That way, we can finally witness what their power is capable of."

"Interesting." Said Gibeon. "Very well, I want a prototype for this weapon to be constructed at once."

"We'll do, sir."

Soon, everyone was dismissed from the room.

Walking through the hallway, Sidian wanted to ask Chalce something. "So, I heard you helped Amethio and Coral get into Naranja Academy."

"Yes." Said Chalce. "I heard the implementation tests are starting soon. Does that bother you?"

"No. But it does get me hopeful that they both have a chance to accomplish what I couldn't."

(Splatlands Desert, Splatsville)

Just outside of Splatsville in the desert, everyone waited beside the S.S. Harland, waiting for the others to return from their battle in space.

"Look!" Cirrina shouted as she spotted the Octobot King. "They made it!"

Soon, the mech lands next to the ship, and everyone on top hops off.

"Oh, thank heavens, you're all safe!" Cuttlefish shouted in joy. "You really showed that bear who's boss!"

"Wait, is Callie okay?" Asked Hallie.

"Yeah, she just needs some rest." Marie replied. "What we did up there really drained her of energy."

Callie had fallen asleep on their way down. Ash had to carry her off the mech.

"What was that you both did, or what Callie did?" Asked Rider. "You and Callie literally turned Little Buddy into a giant powerful monster after she emitted some type of pink glow."

"I don't know." Marie answered. "All I know is that was the third time it's happened."

"Well, whatever it was, the world was saved because of it." Friede said before turning to Ash. "By the way, Ash, the Explorers already left. Sidian said you can keep his Tera Orb."
