Chapter 5: Fight and Escape

On the beach where Ash and the gang had landed on, the champions were putting the finishing touches on repairing the S.S. Harland.

"There we go! We should be good to go!" Steven said as he put down the wrench he was using.

"Great, I'll go inform the children on the news." Cynthia said as she left to look for Ash and Gary. However, they were nowhere to be seen. "Steven, do you know where they went?"

"Don't know, I told them they could go explore the area a bit as long as they do not go off too far."

Then, Cynthia's Rotom Phone started ringing, a call coming from Gary. "Talk to me Gary, where are you guys at anyway?"

Steven couldn't hear their conversation, but the look Cynthia had given him gave him an uneasy feeling. "What's happening, Cynthia?"

Cynthia turned off her phone and then gave Steven a serious glare. "Steven, we need to move now."

"What?"

"Now!" Cynthia shouted.

(Inkopolis, Inkadia Region)

After escaping some bad guys and also having an unexpected reunion with enemies, the gang soon found themselves at the edge of the city, hopefully far from those bad people. Everyone was tired from running, but they had to keep going if they wanted to stay safe.

"Who in the world were those people?" Ash said, who was looking tired after running.

"Beats me, but those beings were working with that woman who attacked us." Gary replied.

"Yeah, and Team Rocket was here too, but I'm surprised they actually helped us."

They both looked at each other with many thoughts in their heads but soon turned their attention to Callie and Marie.

"Oh yeah! We should probably introduce ourselves. I'm Ash, and this is my friend Pikachu." Ash said to the cousins while they were still looking nervous from earlier. "What's your name?"

"I'm Callie." Callie said nervously.

"And my name is Marie." Said Marie.

"Callie, Marie, well, it's nice to meet you then." Said Ash as he pulled his hand out to greet them.

"It's nice to meet you too." Callie said as she returned the hand shake. "Are you really humans?"

That question got Ash confused. "Yeah, you have never seen a human before?"

"Not until a few minutes ago." Callie replied. "We thought they were all extinct."

"What?" Said Ash in confusion. "There are many humans living all over the world. I don't know if you know this, but there are other regions out there in the world other than your own."

"What?! Really?!" Both cousins shouted.

"Yeah, and we live with these special guys right here. Their called Pokemon, and they come in all different species, each with their own powers and abilities."

"How are there other-"

BOOM!!!!!!!! An explosion sets off, and there was smoke around them. Everyone was coughing as they were having trouble breathing.

"You sure like causing a scene." Said an unknown voice coming from the smoke. Then, a figure appeared out of the dust.

"Who are you!" Ash demanded the unknown person to identify himself.

"I'm Amethio, and I kindly advise you two to come with me." Said Amethio, referring to Ash and Callie. "Do so, and no harm will come to your friends."

"That's enough! I'll take you down!" Yelled Gary, and he sends out Blastoise.
