(Future Utopia Island, Alterna)

On the first island of Alterna, the gang that remained was studying the two mysterious machines that the others had brought.

"There we go. That should do it." Orla said as she put a power wire on Pikachu and Glowy to connect them both to one of the machinery. "Now let em rip!"

Both Pikachu and Glowy let's out a good amount of electricity that actually gets a reaction from the machine. It starts shaking, and its motor starts roaring and vibrating.

"Whoa! It's actually working?!" Marie shouted.

"That's Orla for you!" Said Friede. "Have you figured what these do hickeys were designed for Orla?"

"Actually, I think you're supposed to put these together." Orla replied. "Both have latches on them where it looks like something is supposed to be attached to. But I couldn't fit any of these two together no matter how I tried."

"Then I'm guessing there's at least one more of these things out there." Said Hallie.

"The tracker shows that everyone else has arrived on the last island. So they might find the last piece of this thing there." Said Marie.

------------------------------------------------

After yet another confrontation with the Explorers, the sun had set as the gang arrived on the sixth and final island of Alterna. What's disturbing is that the whole city appeared to be flooded, meaning there was no ground to stand on.

"Huh! I see lots of sea, but... there's hardly any land!" Callie shouted.

"Guys, I'm getting a signal in one of these abandoned buildings." Marie spoke on everyone's headsets. "You're on the final island of Alterna, so there's a chance gramps is most certainly here."

"The only member of Deep Cut we haven't seen was Big Man." Said Bendra. "So I bet he's here."

"Then we'll make sure to be prepared." Said Rider. "Who knows what a Manta is capable of."

"Hey, Ash, you still feel good of giving Shiver your Tera Orb?" Callie asked Ash. "What about your implementation test?"

"Yeah, giving it to her actually felt pretty good." Said Ash. "Maybe Clavell might understand if I tell him the truth. Who knows, he might even give me a second chance."

Suddenly, a search light is passing in the sky. It was an Octocopter, searching for intruders. As everyone took cover on the roof of an abandoned research facility, they saw more Hairy Octarians who were patrolling the buildings through the skies.

"Great, how do we get past all of these guys." Said Cirrina.

"I know!" Ash shouted before taking out two Pokeballs. "Dragonite! Flygon!"

As Ash let's out both Dragonite and Flygon, everyone could already tell where this was going.

"Let's fly to the top of this building to find where the signal is coming from. From there, we can find the safest route to sneak past the Octarians."

Ash gets on Dragonite, and then Dragonite carries both Rider and Brenda on each arm. Meanwhile, Callie gets on Flygon, and then Flygon carries Cirrina in its arms. With that, both Dragonite and Flygon quietly and with caution start flying to the top of this building while carrying everyone. They arrive at the top roof in minutes and put everyone down.

"There!" Callie said as she looked at the radar. "It's coming from the talest building of this place!"

With his binoculars, Rider takes a full view of this abandoned city and sees Octocopters, Octobombers, and even Octozeppelins all patrolling the skies. "There's too many of them in the air. We can't just fly across, and having no solid ground to stand on is not making this any easier."
