Chapter 30: The New Captain

(Octo Canyon)

In the dusk of Tentakeel Outpost, DJ Octavio laid patiently for the Octoling Elite Sisters inside his snow globe. Luckily, they arrived as soon as he was about to fall asleep.

"Sir! Sorry if we could have been here sooner, but we now have information about these Explorers." Said Rachel.

DJ Octavio turned to the Octolings. "Good. Now, it's finally time to free me from this glass prison!"

"Yes, sir! Hassel! Get our modified Splatana to bust our king out of here!"

"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." Said Hassel as she got out the Splatana.

(The Next Morning)

Near the harbor of Inkopolis Bay, the S.S. Harland has docked after its trip from the Hoenn Region. After Ash's lost with Larry, he had Nemona enroll him at Naranja Academy. But it will take time for the school to respond, so in the meantime, Callie and Marie were ready to do another showcase after their debut in Hoenn.

"We're here! Now, which showcase should we do first?" Asked Marie.

Marie took out her squid phone for info and came up with a suggestion. "I mean, New Sardine is right next door, and the theme is dancing in their showcase. With what we showed in Hoenn, it would be good to start there."

"Yay! I haven't been to New Sardine since...... I filmed for that TV drama...." Callie said timidly. The last time she was there, she got swarmed by fans and was surrounded by jellyfishes, pointing cameras at her face. Right before she was taken to Octo Canyon.

"Alright! Show us where the city is, and I'll have Friede take the ship there in seconds!" Ash said happily.

"Alright -" Suddenly, Marie felt her agent communicater vibrating. She reaches for it and gets a message from her grandfather. "Guys, we need to head to Tentakeel Outpost right now. It's an emergency."

In Inkopolis Bay, a boat docks near the ruins of a humongous statue. It is where the battle took place with Commander Tartar.

"We're here." Said an Inkling soldier. "Commander Sidian, we're ready for the explanation."

"Good, Chalce and Giada are already in there performing a sweep, waiting for us. The orb is here, no doubt."

"Oh yes, Commander Chalce got information on its location after steeling the one from Shellendorf Institute."

"Yes, every time we find an orb, we find clues on the next one."

In Octo Canyon, Captain Cuttlefish starred at the shattered remains of the snow globe. DJ Octavio had escaped. Both Gabe and Hallie were already there performing a sweep.

"I'm so sorry, captain, but there's no clues on where he could have gone." Said Hallie.

"Yeah, and he and his troops don't appear to be in Octo Valley or Octo Canyon." Said Gabe.

Cuttlefish kept tapping his Bamboozler on the floor. "Octavio, what are you up to this time...."

Suddenly, a shadow was cased upon Tentakeel Outpost. Everyone looks up and sees a flying ship landing near Marie's shake. The ship docks and the cousins run towards Cuttlefish.

"Gramps! What's happened?!" Asked Marie.

"See for yourself...." Cuttlefish said as he pointed at the shattered snow globe.
