Chapter 11: Monster From the Past

(Tentakeel Outpost, Inkadia Region)

The Octoling Elite Sisters got back from their clash against the Explorers. They need to report everything to DJ Octavio.

Octavio looked at them with an irritated look, assuming they failed. "So, what happened this time?"

"Sir, there's something we need to tell you." Said Rachel. She then explains everything that happened in the alleyway.

"So, humans still exist, and there's other regions out there?"

"Yes, sir, but our real problem is this evil organization that got in our way of our mission."

"And you said they were after Callie?'

"Sir, yes, sir!"

Octavio gave a minute to process everything. He soon gave a new order to his remaining troops. "Find out who these Explorers are, and what their up to."

"Sir, yes, sir!"

(Paldea Region)

A mysterious Pokemon flew out of the crater, covered in bruises. It kept flying, trying to find the perfect spot to take refuge, but it grew weaker every second. Its vision kept going in and out of focus. It kept flying until it could no longer. It soon came falling down.

Everyone had left the stadium, feeling intensity from the battle they just witnessed. The battle had encouraged Ash to start finding new ways to get stronger. With that, he had now registered himself in the World Coronation Series, taking Cynthia's advice to try new things.

"More than ten thousand trainers have entered!" Ash shouted as he looked at his Rotom Phone after submitting his entry.

"Yep, that's approximately how many trainers enter every year." Said Nemona.

"The more rivals, the better! Im going to take down as many as I can!"

"Yeah, Ash! You can do this!" Callie said cheerfully, exited of the adventure ahead of her.

"Right now, new entries like yourself are put at Normal Class, while Geeta is in the Master Class, which is the top eight strongest trainers. If you want to battle her again, you must make your way up the ranks. You can do that by battling other trainers who are in the same class as you. Eventually, you can rank up to the Great Class, then the Ultra Class, and maybe the Master Class." Explained Nemona.

"All I have to do is win a bunch of battles, I can totally do that! Let me find a trainer now!" Ash then uses his phone to look up any trainers who'd entered the Series, and it didn't take long to find one. He shows his phone to Nemona to get her opinion. "Hey, how about this guy?"

Nemona was shocked at who Ash showed on his phone. "That's Brassius!!!!!!!"

The reaction surprised Ash, which meant Nemona knew who it was. "Who's Brassius?"

"Brassius is the local gym leader in the Town of Artazon!"

"Did you say a gym leader?!"

"Yeah, and it says here he's ranked 2109. Are you sure you want to start off that high?"

"Heck yeah, I'm always up for the challenge!" Ash said confidently. "Now, let's go to Artazon!"

"Good luck then, I promise I'll meet with all of you when you get there."

"You mean you're not coming with us?" Asked Callie.

"If I miss any more school time, I'll never hear the end of it from the principal."
