March 2020, 3 year 6 months ago:

It was my first day at my new office. and I was late.

after checking the time on my phone for the hundredth time, I bolted towards the set as soon as the elevator stopped.

running is like a gamble. either you can slip and fall on your ass, or you can bump into a hot guy and fall into his arms. or if you have an exceptionally terrible luck, you can bump into a hot guy and fall on your ass.

I have a terrible luck.

"are you okay?" he said looking down at me. even though he had a mask on, i could tell he was trying hard not to laugh.

"do i look okay to you?" i asked offended and my ass still on the floor.
"here" he offered his hand.

"no thanks" I said getting up on my own. then i crossed my arms in front of my chest.

"don't you have anything to say to me?" i asked sternly.
"ummm" he pretended to think.
"oh come on" i blurted offended for the second time.
"is sorry okay?" he teased.

"no it isn't" i shook my head like a psychopath.
"should i bow 90 degrees?"
"180 degrees."

"what?" he tilted his head in surprise.
"bow 180 degrees."

he sighed. "can you demonstrate?"
i almost fell into his trap.

"no. do i look like an idiot to you?" i asked.
"do I?" he retorted then chuckled at my shocked face.

ok. confession time. i was too arrogant at that time. I was getting ahead of myself since i was the main creative director now.

I realized i couldn't win so i backed down.

"whatever." I was about to run again when i slipped, i would have fallen on my face if it wasn't for him. his hands appeared in front of my stomach and supported me strongly.

as mentioned before, since i wasn't in my right mind at that time, my immediate thought was that falling would have been better because thanking him after acting like a jerk was embarrassing.

still with my face now looking like a cherry, i balanced myself and turned around to face him. without looking at him, i muttered a quiet thanks.

you would think i would learn from these two incidents, but i still ran. because not being 10 mins late on my first day was worth risking my life.
