•Title: "Freak Out part 2"
•Requester: DarrianMarks
•Warnings: talk of Carlos being held hostage.
•Inspiration: the request.
•Type: angsty fluff.
A/N: Okay, so this is a part two to one shot 67. The end has an important A/N!
Also, sorry for the late execution of the request.
I've kinda had a rough term in college. I STUPIDLY took three PSYCH courses, so I was pretty much drowning for 15 weeks. The term just ended, though. Next term starts May 12th, but I have only one psychology course. Plus, I'm enrolled in a creative writing course, so I hope that improves my writing!!!

Carlos opens his eyes and blinks slowly to adjust to the hospital lights. He lets out a quiet groan, his entire body sore. His hospital bed is inclined at about a sixty-degree angle. Carlos uses his arms to push his body up against the mattress, a hiss leaving his mouth.
TK sits upright at the sound. He hadn't fully fallen asleep, his ears tuned into his surroundings.
"Hey, 'Los," TK whispers as he approaches the bed, "how're you feeling?"
"Sore," Carlos says with a hoarse voice before clearing his throat.
"Here," TK pours Carlos a cup of water from the pitcher and hands the cup over.
"Thanks," Carlos says after taking and savoring a sip.
"So, the doctor wants to run some tests, but you'll get discharged if they're all clear," TK says.
"Right, yeah," Carlos says as he adjusts his sitting position.
"Carlos," TK grabs the cop's hand, "if you don't want to go home to the loft yet, if you don't feel safe, tell me. We can figure out an alternative. I could sleep on the couch, or you could go to your parents' house."
"Tk," Carlos says with a soft chuckle, "you're rambling."
"Right, sorry," TK says, "you tell me what you need."
"I'm okay going home to the loft," Carlos says, "I don't know about sharing a bed, though."
"Okay, so we can take this one step at a time, have no set plan," TK says with a nod, "do you want to talk about it?"
Carlos leans his head back to look at the ceiling as he lets out a breath, "I can't believe I let them get me, you know? I'm trained to stay vigilant."
"Carlos, this is not your fault," TK says sternly.
"Yeah, I know. I just-."
"Carlos," TK cups his fiancé's face, "they are to blame for this. Not you."
Carlos nods slightly as he places his own hands over TK's. He looks into his fiance's eyes as his own fill with tears.
"I didn't think I'd ever see you again," he says, his voice breaking.
"Oh, baby," TK pulls Carlos' head to his shoulder as he hugs him tightly, "I love you. I love you so much, Carlos Reyes."
Carlos laughs through the tears on his face as he pulls back, his hand on TK's face.
"And I love you so very much, Tyler Kennedy Strand."

A/N: I hope you enjoyed!!!
Also, I wanted to talk about the news of 9-1-1: Nashville.
While I don't fully know the premise of this, I am excited. Something many of you don't know is that I live in New York.
However, I was born in Tennessee (Knoxville) and lived there until I was approximately three years old. Up until I was fifteen or so, we took annual family trips there to see my grandparents.
Tennessee has a strong hold on me. I miss it every day. While I want to go back, I don't have much of a desire to see the relatives that live there due to a lack of support and love.
Anyway, that's not important.
What is important, is we're gettin' a Tennessee version of my favorite show. Gosh, I hope we have strong couples like in Lone Star and the OG 9-1-1. I love romance-in case you haven't realized.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed!!!
