Blades' creation and what would come from all of it from his creator, Ratchet.
____________________________________________________________________________________________

He couldn't believe he had been so stupid.

He was so young and yet he fell so hard, it took so long to fall for the mech he did and yet it seemed like it was all a waste now. They met in their younger schooling, stayed close when they went their own ways and then somehow began their courting, consisting of some deep imitation between each other.

his creators already gave him garbage about it, not to mention that even explaining what had happened also resulted in losing his entire courtship and all the ties being cut. he was told by his creators multiple times about how young he was and how he could let something like this happen for being the smart bot they raised him for.

His creators were really more so part of the cause of it too, leaving him to not understand his own urges because they could've cared much less. Yet, now he was really on his own, he overworked his frame for this and yet it still seemed to feel like he had absolutely nothing right in the moment.

Ratchet felt like he had nothing, but what he had now was a sparkling he had to raise by himself, no help, only him.

With where he was in his job, he could barely get by on his own. He worked late constantly despite how much his frame wanted to rest for the sparkling that grew inside, all of it was just to try and be able to not have such a little one have to suffer. Even when he was supposed to go on leave, Ratchet still dared to work, he couldn't sacrifice the money he needed to get by.

He knows he should rest but he can't, he needs to go back to work. His job truly was terrible for what it was but it was all he could first find when he entered the medical field, not even letting him take a leave to care for his sparkling but rather having him return or else he would be fired. truly it seemed wrong but his boss said he should've taken the leave when it was given to him and so he wouldn't have had this situation.

Ratchet can feel the burden he has caused himself, his body still feeling like it is in shambles from all the work he has done as well as what his frame was doing to have the sparkling develop in its time. looking over at the crib, the sparkling still sound asleep, he knew that his life would now be difficult to manage.

"Ratchet, what are you doing?"

he looked over at the door, seeing the one and only friend who has stood by him even through all of this and known him in their younger years. Orion Pax, a boy who certainly was much smarter in literature than Ratchet could ever be and quite much taller than himself.

"I have to work tomorrow." Ratchet folds up one of the hospital blankets from the berth, slowly trying to walk himself to the pile he has already made for them all. "I'm just trying to help them with this mess."

"you can't go to work." Orio could tell Ratchet was basically forcing himself to do all of this and yet in reality, he needed at least three lunar cycles worth of rest and recovery time. "you need to rest."

"I'll rest when I am stable." Ratchet was waddling over to the crib. "if I don't end up at work, I'll get fired and lose everything."

"no, you won't, now lay down." Orion basically has to force Ratchet to at least sit on the berth, the sparkling sound asleep as Ratchet now holds the little one in his arms. "you can't torture yourself for this little one."

"Blades deserves better.'' The name he picked meant something, the one who has pierced his spark deeply and will not create the new blade of a path that he is going to follow to try and give the best life he could ever give such a creation. "I can't get myself fired for him."

"Well you actually did get fired, one of your co-workers told me that today when they were trying to look for you."

"WHAT?!" The medic knew his life was now falling apart, and that was just the start of it.

"There is more," Orion states, giving some more news on top of what he said. "I did get you for a new job that pays double than what you were originally making and they are giving you the next seven lunar cycles to recover and spend time with your sparkling."

Ratchet was very stunned, especially because he thought his entire life was over that night. somehow, out of a pure miracle, now he has something better, he has the time to rest and no longer worry and now the job he has can actually support not only himself but Blades too.

"How did I manage to gain a friend like you?" he questions, bringing the crib closer to place the sleeping sparkling inside.

"It's because you finally stopped trying to push me out of your life-and down the stairs." ah yes, the memory they can both recall of the one time Ratchet tried to shove Orion away and they both fell down the flight of stairs. That moment is really when Ratchet said they could be friends, and that moment so long ago could be seen as just yesterday. "blanket?"

"Fine, throw it over." Ratchet simply accepted the blankets given to him, curling himself on the berth.

It did not take long for Ratchet to fall into a deep and restless recharge and in that moment, he felt at peace for the first time in a very long while.
