Chase thought that the time he went out there to play like Ruby had instructed would have been the only time he got to be out there.
every lunar cycle, there had to be a time where he had to go out there again, almost like some routine. Chase always tried to refuse as he didn't want to go out into a room and somewhat be the monster or criminal that they all see him for, but Ruby did not care.
those times were torture as he felt he couldn't do anything he actually wanted, he was basically a loner. in the times he was sent out, he never read anything but rather sat himself in the lone corner of the room and let himself silently watch on as the kids never came around to him.
There had been one time he tried to get closer but one of the mechs had then slapped him and hurt him to the point he physically wished he could cry. He noticed how no worker there cared despite his injuries received, and by then, he knew that everyone there was basically against him.
He never believed he would get out of there at all, and sometimes he did question whether or not what all he was going through had to be better than it was when he was growing up in many different prison cells.
Sometimes, he thought it wasn't.
