Ratchet brings Heatwave to the place he would call home, but Blades is confused.

It was something completely new for him.

entering the home seemed wrong, after all, the only thing he had been around for a very long time were medics, machines and tons of white walls. He was able to see the world now but even so, he saw some from a window but barely went outside.

"Carrier!" Ratchet watched as Blades rushed to him in joy, but then had stopped as he seemed to notice how Heatwave had been there. It took a moment before Blades spoke again. "Who's that?"

"This is Heatwave, your adopted brother." Ratchet answers, but it seems the two young ones are very shy between one another. "Soon, he'll be your best friend."

Blades didn't really understand exactly what was up, seeing that this bot was pretty much equivalent in age. Blades was certainly shy upon meeting Heatwave but it seemed to be that Heatwave seemed to just be very confused.

within a couple solar cycles, Blades ultimately thought that Heatwave was rather strange or even just plain dumb. he noticed how the bot never spoke and signaled things with movement rather than words, he mostly followed Ratchet around and every single time Blades went to try and befriend him, it seemed that the bot didn't understand him.

Blades didn't really ask for Heatwave though, making it quite noticeable how that bot is the odd one out. it got to a point that Blades realized he needed to confront Ratchet regarding the presence of the red mech.

"Is Heatwave stupid?" Ratchet whipped his helm around so fast that he probably did get whiplash, but he was more focused towards what he heard than his own health.

"Heatwave isn't stupid, he's more so lost." Ratchet goes to sit on the floor, being level to Blades in order to explain what he wanted to say. "Heatwave has been through a lot more than he can handle, and I get how it may seem like he is a bit stupid. it will take him a while to adjust so we need to give him time, we cannot force him to adjust this quickly, alright?"

"Ok, I guess." Blades still was a bit confused on things, but he knew he had to distance himself a bit and maybe he would get himself closer to knowing this strange mech.

Blades did just that, avoiding Heatwave most of the time. He went off to his academy stuff as Heatwave did it from the home, which was said he would eventually join Blades at the little academy too. Blades felt with each solar cycle, Heatwave was nowhere close to trying to know who Blades was.

There was one night, Blades in his berth about to slip into recharge when the door opened. He got up to find Heatwave entering, placing himself onto the berth, with no explanation to what was going on.

"Do you need something?" Blades asks, still wondering what is going on

Heatwave opened up his chest plates, showing his spark, but the yellow spark inside was extremely dull in color, as if no joy seemed to exist. Blades was silent for a moment before then deciding to follow suit. He opened his, a white colored spark that was bright and full of happiness. they both seemed to be so different.

They ended up both closing them at some point, both sort of shocked by the fact they were so different, but maybe it was a sign, telling Blades he needed to help him.

"You want to recharge here tonight?" Heatwave nodded to the question, the two bots then snuggling up with one another as they head into a deep recharge.

When Ratchet noticed the open door, he got up, checking to see what was going on. When he arrived, he saw the two young bots both fast asleep, both seemingly close with one another.
