Halfway through this book, how exciting. now for this Chapter:
Blades and Chase are canoodling in the closet.

The lights were off, surrounded by darkness as the only light peeping in happened to be from under the door. blankets seemed to be what were mostly in the space, and yet even with the small spacing, there was still the visible sight of two bots in the bunches of blankets.

"Do you think they'll know?" Chase asks, placing himself more into the softness that is in the small space, finding the deepest comfort in the world.

"Chase, we stole all the blankets we could find. Unless they come back early, they won't know." Blades says, hoping that they will not be caught in such an act, especially because Heatwave would flip out. "We have all the time in the world."

"Where did they say they were both going to be?" Chase asks, not recalling as to where the two other bots said where they would be heading.

"Boulder went to study with Aoife for an exam that is coming up for their class, and said he probably wouldn't be back till just before curfew." Blades answers, silently remembering what he has been told. "Heatwave said-"

a loud boom interrupts Blades in his thoughts, both bots looking at each other as it seemed silence was within the small area. they both cuddled more into the blankets, hearing the loud boom once more as the faint picks of rain can be heard.

"Right, Heatwave said he was going out." Chase remembers, not even realizing how close he placed himself to Blades from a bit of fear. "didn't he say he was going to go outside?"

"Yep, probably still is out there even with the-" another boom echoed along, the sound of the acid rains continuing. "-storm."

"Well, I hope he's alright." Chase notices how close he is to Blades. "How did we get ourselves like this?"

They were quite close to one another, basically hugging within the small space. At this rate, if they were caught, it would be seen as if they were canoodling. Chase knew what that was, showing affection and whatnot, but this was not something they planned to do.

"I have no idea." Blades responds, looking around to find no good excuse to go with it. "Do you want to canoodle?"

"You realize the point I had to do this was to not read those letters of apology that I haven't got to?" Chase thinks for a moment. He technically didn't have to read all those letters he was given regarding the incident, but he planned to, eventually. "You know what, I can read those later."

"Canoodle then?" Blades was just double checking if that was the plan that was being set in motion.

"Yes." Chase agrees, letting himself ignore the one task he needs to get done and letting himself be swarmed by comfort instead.

The two lay there, cuddled in one another as blankets keep them somewhat toasty. They were in a small space, protected and shielded from the raging acid rain of a storm that was going on outside. it didn't matter how much time had flown by or what time it actually was because they were both only enjoying the peace.

that peace felt as if it was too quick to vanish, the sounds of an opening door being heard and a voice speaking up.

"Where did my blanket go?"
