As Heatwave actually took Ratchet's advice and did take a bit of time to himself after all the chaos he was going through. With this time, he did find himself questioning something he never questioned once in his life, exactly what his medical conditions were.
he remembers the pure long torture and waiting he had at the hospital, pretty much being fed through tubes the entire time from whatever was in the tubes. Once he got out of the hospital and was living with Ratchet, he just had whatever energon was given, same went for when he went on to the academy since he didn't want that to change.
him questioning it made him realize how bland it really was, noticing how others tended to add stuff to their energon while Heatwave continued to have the same thing every single solar cycle. he never really asked about his medical condition but he never knew what it really was, only knowing he couldn't have anything else than what he had every solar cycle. This limitation felt to be a bother as he found himself wondering about it every day, but he knew he needed to ask Ratchet about it at one point.
For now, he found himself facing some sort of disadvantage, clueless as he was supposed to not notice something he only just now started thinking about. He knew that maybe Starlight may have some sort of answers but it has been a very long time since he saw her and he has no clue where he could start looking.
Maybe the answers will come eventually, or he could start looking.
