Sure, Heatwave lost the touch that sort of made him Heatwave, Boulder surely wasn't about to lose hope that fast.
Boulder made himself a missing, a smile for every solar cycle. It seems like something stupid, or just really random, but with much thought, he wanted Heatwave to know he wasn't going to give up that fast. surely, some may seem they weren't close like others are but Boulder still wanted to show that he cared.
he always made sure to give that one smile to Heatwave, despite how much the bot never smiled back now. he was planning to do this for a long time, the time until he would see that smile be projected back to him. he never knew he would end up doing this for what would be the longest of times and no even realize it.
Blades and Chase ended up trying to get Heatwave to smile or even laugh in some way, but their attempts of doing something were not really working out. Heatwave even figured out what they were all doing and told them multiple times to stop but they were not losing hope that fast.
it wouldn't be until something that changed this forever, that made them all stop trying because there was nothing they could do anymore. for now, they were going to try, try and get Heatwave to change his mind and be how he was before.
