They tried to cheer him up.

"Why are you covering me in stickers?" Heatwave sat there, stopping with what he was doing as he questioned why this was happening right now. He was originally working on some homework for one of his classes, but whatever Blades was doing had him distracted.

"Because you like stickers." Blades says, continuing to do what he is doing. "you always let me cover you with stickers, sure it seems childish now but-"

"You mean I liked stickers? I don't like them anymore." Heatwave basically shoves Blades off of him. "Can you take them off now?"

"No, because you won't be like the rest of us!" Blades complains, continuing with his hard work in making a masterpiece.

Heatwave looks to find that both Boulder and Chase are deeply covered in stickers, still putting them on one another as they both turn to meet Heatwave's gaze. Heatwave remains silent as the two continue and Blades clearly has zero intent to stop, and the poor bot only lets out a sigh of defeat.

"Fine, continue." Heatwave just continues with what he was doing, but even so, he knows it will be a pain to take all the stickers off later.

A bit of time goes by, the stickers all being placed on everyone as they now sit in a circle, covered with many new designs. Although they thought the plan would've worked, Heatwave continued to sit there, not impressed.

"You guys are trying to cheer me up, aren't you?"

"Yes, but you aren't yourself." Boulder answers, making a point. "Even after everything, you still smiled at least once every solar cycle, even though I couldn't compete with that. we all just miss how you were."

"It is odd for us to see you this way, all we want is for you to be yourself." Chase adds on. "I wasn't trying to get you to talk to only turn you into an angry Cyberdog."

"It took forever to make you happy, what in the world will get you back to that again?" Blades knew he had to ask that, after all, not only was he curious but also wanted to not lose hope just yet.

"Yeah, that was because I had something that made me really happy." Heatwave explains. "I have gotten news I never wanted and continually keep finding myself back at zero by the end of the solar cycle, I don't even understand what the point is now."

"just because that is all gone doesn't mean you should just stop." Boulder says.

"Listen, Boulder, I had one thing that kept me happy and now that is gone, until I find something, how can I be happy?"

the three didn't know what to say, how could they find something that made Heatwave happy if he doesn't even know where to start? all of them could only look at each other as Heatwave then decided to get up.

"I'm going to the wash racks to get these stickers off, please, don't follow." Heatwave then left, all three of them still sitting there as they realized their attempt of cheering him up had failed.
