It took awhile, but he finally found him

__________________________________________________________________________________________

He was just in a little room.

there was a window, one window, the only source he had to the world now. he's been back and forth between places, meeting new medics left and right but none of them have ever really liked him. he can tell they don't want him but no one wants him anyway, and going back and forth between places has made it seem like all he knows.

he has done this for awhile, it all started since Starlight had left. he knows much time has passed since that but time is like nothing to him, he's done the same things over and over again to the point that there was no point to anything else really. he could do much more things, things he wanted, but it didn't seem right.

"Heatwave, there is someone I would like you to meet." it was one of the medics, Heatwave never really bothered to learn their names because he can simply sense himself leaving to another medical bay.

Heatwave sort of zones out for a moment, then seeing two bots as he gets his usual check-up that happens every single solar cycle. He recognizes the one medic, the one who literally shoved something in his mouth the first lunar cycle and is still doing stuff that can be a real bother. the other, he never had seen before, but he could sense something familiar as he looked at this newbie.

"I still don't understand why you would spend so much time trying to find this little one, Ratchet." The medic says, sort of showing how it is done but isn't really doing too well of that job. "He has missing parts, doesn't talk, he's basically a machine at this rate, a small and angry machine."

"I am just fulfilling a promise from a friend." Ratchet simply explains. "Well, she was more so a family member I never knew of."

"You do look like that one Femme I knew a while back, what was her name? Starbright or something?" that seemed to get Heatwave's attention, showing a bit of anger but also some curiosity. "Anyway, even if it was her who sent you, Heatwave is just a lost cause anyway."

Heatwave could tell how much Starlight and Ratchet looked somewhat similar, through not only their colors but also features. they both have the orange and white type of scheme to their frames, they had somewhat of similar shapes to their faces and not to mention the shape of their optics.

"Normally we had to disinfect the room constantly to treat him but he's been doing better, but we still have to deep clean before entering." the medic says, still giving the tutorial bits of it to Ratchet.

"That explains a lot." Ratchet says, then looks over to Heatwave. "Hello there, it is nice to meet you."

Heatwave only looked at him silently, still somewhat angry as Ratchet looks exactly like the one bot who left him. Ratchet could easily tell why Heatwave would be mad, but he knows that he wasn't about to leave that fast.

solar cycles went on, Heatwave slowly warming up to Ratchet each and every time he went. there were times where Heatwave seemed upset, leading to other behaviors, but it made him seem less of a sparkless machine that he was constantly seen as by the other medics. he was warming up to Ratchet, letting the bot hold him and such with given signs when needed, but no matter what Ratchet did, Heatwave never spoke.

Maybe one day, things would change more, for the better.
