Boulder was quick to conduct his little experiment, which showed that for some odd and weird reason, everyone thought Heatwave and Chase were together. the mystery was also solved by this, as Areola must have done what she did because she thought the two were together and instead wrecked a completely other relationship for no reason whatsoever.
Heatwave and Chase though, they agreed to the fact they would never be together in their lives. they have gone through many things and so triggering them was something that they could both easily do on accident and they were not risking any of that.
the amount of bots that assumed that Heatwave and Chase were together happened to be obscured, even some professors actually believing that was the case. it seemed that clearing up the matter was shocking when it was told they were never together in the first place, which also had some weird nonsense going on in the staffroom that one solar cycle.
besides the fact the part of Heatwave and Chase being together was slowly being resolved, they knew they had to physically clear up the whole situation with both Chase and Blades here fast so things could somewhat go back to normal and their grades wouldn't be in jeopardy. it was also still strange since they would be still asked this even after the resolution of it.
but at least there was other things to worry about besides that, right?
