Chase gets to find out a truth that truly hurts him.

________________________________________________________________________________

He was never allowed to play with the other kids.

he always had classes with Ruby, and honestly, he was getting a bit tired of it. Even with what he was being taught, as well as her constant pushing, it made it hard for Chase to go in there every solar cycle to listen to her, not even having a single bit of time to do whatever he wanted.

One time, he was quite determined to skip. He didn't think too much could be done because he felt like he deserves this time to himself. He wants to explore the world he has constantly been kept from and yet even there it felt like it was out of reach.

He peeked from around the corner, seeing the bots all playing with one another in the playroom as they talked and laugh. he could see many toys to play with, ones he never recognized before and certainly were not in the windowless room he was kept in.

"Go, play with them." it was Madame Ruby, saying words that Chase had been very shocked to hear for once in his life. "go on."

Chase was quite happy that he was finally able to go play with the others, being something that was always a vivid dream to him each night as he went into recharge. he was slow walking out into the room but some sort of confidence was held within by the joys of hanging out with those who were around his age.

He wasn't much of a talker though, he never really communicated verbally too often and so it was also a little bit scary. Even with it, he ended up grabbing one of the books and sitting on the carpet, almost as if he was waiting for a chance to come along.

he wasn't fully interested in what he was reading, noticing how there were many optics that kept glancing at him. At first, it was only the kids but then the other workers started to join along, making Chase very confused. He was unaware of why this was happening, but still tried to enjoy his book.

"Hey."

Chase looked over, seeing one of the kids who had joined him. This bot was giving a creepy sort of stare, one that could be defined as rather terrifying.

"Why are you reading?" the mech asks him, as if he was either curious to who he is or rather the book that is being held in his small little servos. "I thought criminals weren't allowed to do that."

Chase didn't know how to respond, better yet, he had no idea exactly what he had just heard. He was no criminal, he was a kid. He had no clue why a bot could guess such a random thing even when he knows he never told any of them to begin with.

Before Chase could come up with any words, one of the kids had tripped. a femme had fallen due to the edge of the carpet and landed right near Chase was. she looked at Chase and Chase looked at her, no words spoken and yet she started to tear up.

"Monster!" she cried, crawling herself away in absolute fear as panic then went on in the entire room.

Now all of them were crying, backing themselves away from Chase as he was apparently the big problem here. He could tell they all feared him, but he knew he was no criminal, yet none of them ever would seem to figure that part out.

He let go of his book, not daring to bother to put it back and simply headed to his room and slammed that door shut. part of him felt as if he could cry and yet he couldn't seem to shed a single tear. All that seemed to echo in his mind were the words the two bots had said to him, and before he knew it, he saw Ruby at his somehow opened door.

"Chase, I told you that the world is unfair." She says, something which she has mentioned many times over. "mess up once and you are basically a good bit of garbage to throw into the pits."
