Heatwave and Boulder had no idea what to do.

Blades and Chase couldn't even look at each other, it was like being in the same room was a death that slowly choked out their vents. it was so bad that it was surely affecting their team, making their team exercises more difficult since the communication was halfway gone now.

"I still don't understand what went on." Boulder says as he smacks his helm into his datapad, defeated again for the second time in that solar cycle. "Why was she even kissing him in the first place?!"

"I don't know?! the only good excuse I have is because she is a terrible bot!" Heatwave doesn't even know what he is missing here because it makes zero sense to him.

as they were in their disgusting despair, a mech walked up to the table, looking at them with some concern as both Boulder and Heatwave were clearly upset.

"Are you two alright?" he asks, the two looking up at him as they are still in their terrible situation.

"it could be better." Boulder comments, hitting the datapad to his helm once again as he is stuck in a depression of sorts. "We have two teammates who are not on speaking terms and it isn't doing any of us too much good here."

"Oh, Blades and Chase?" Everyone is quite familiar with other teams and who they are, it was a strange thing but it was nice knowing someone wasn't fully forgotten. "I'm sorry to hear that."

"Yeah, having your brother and your best friend be together and on the same team now in some sort of argument is not the plan I had this lunar cycle." Heatwave mentions, knowing those facts make it much more difficult for him to deal with.

"Blades and Chase are together?" The tone of voice the mech used made it seem as if he was surprised, but neither bot had really hidden their relationship at all.

"Yeah, they have been for a while, up until this situation." Boulder clarifies, a bit confused how the bot could be shocked by this news.

"Oh, I thought you and Chase were together." When those words were said, the mech pointed at Heatwave, clearly meaning it was him.

Heatwave found it strange how the mech guessed that he and Chase were together, especially when they never made any moves to indicate such a thing in the first place. it was quite questionable, but they asked further.

Chase and I were never together." Heatwave clarifies for him. 'Chase and I are only friends, we never plan to get together at all."

"Oh, really?" The mech was actually a little shocked by that. "honestly, I'm surprised that isn't the case since you are such a nice mech to be around."

"you... you think I'm nice to be around?" Heatwave couldn't help but feel warm at that, especially because he never heard that complement before in a long while.

"uh-I heard that from some others." Now the mech was stuttering a bit, as if he didn't mean to slip out. "you really are nice though and it's just- I um-"

"It all makes sense now!" Boulder got up from his seat, some gears turning rapidly in his mind as he seemed to have solved a mystery of sorts. "I just need to test something and if it works, we can fix the problem!"

Boulder left in quite the hurry not hesitating one bit as Heatwave was still there with the mech, an awkward silence falling between them.

"are-are you trying to ask me out?" Heatwave really couldn't believe this right now, after all, this is the last thing he was expecting for the solar cycle.

"Uh-y-yeah." it was all becoming a conversation filled with stutters and blushing. "when you have your thing-your friend and brother thing-when that is resolved, do you want to hang out?"

"you know I-I never caught your name." Heatwave says, noticing how he never seemed to ask that at all this entire time.

"Spark Fuse."

"Well then, I would love to hang out with you, Spark Fuse." Heatwave says, almost pleased by this now.

"Heatwave, stop being all gushy and let's go!" Heatwave is quickly dragged off by Boulder after this was said, following him into whatever is next as he could hear the chuckles of Spark Fuse behind him.
