When they did form their team, they all knew they all had been studying different things for what field they were planning to do, but they never really talked about that with one another at no point before that.
it was obvious to tell that Blades was the medic, it came as zero surprise to anyone in the group somehow, maybe he just showed signs of it when he never noticed. Chase said he was planning to do law enforcement, which did heavily explain the amount of rules he knew about as well as the datapads that are filled with them. Heatwave said he was going to be a firefighter, which the others did mind but Blades was shocked since it was the last thing he had expected from the red bot.
When Boulder explained he was going to be an engineer, they all just looked at him. Heatwave basically asked why he was majoring in math, especially because he had never heard of that before somehow. Blades simply said he probably would've thought of something different if he didn't have to do a medic type of position but maybe not that and Chase was quite curious about the position itself.
Boulder showed his work and stuff to the others to try and get them to understand but it just made them more confused on how it worked. when he had to use his smarts in that field for a practice emergency, they honestly just left all of that to him since they all knew they would never understand it. Boulder did try to teach them, but it didn't work out too well.
At least he tried.
