It wasn't long after the teams were created when Heatwave met Areola, a femme who he thought was all nice and sweet but then found himself not a fan.
When he first met her, she was very nice. They took a good liking to each other, and eventually decided to Court, going from a friendship to an actual relationship. As time went on, Heatwave noticed how she was kind of demanding, constantly trying to trick him in a way, but it was also like she was obsessed with him all while he was just drifting away.
it got to the point where Heatwave confronted her, told her there was simply no way the two would be companions (to be together forever, like marriage). he explained exactly what he didn't like about her right to her face and that her behavior would never get her anywhere, because it was something she has had for a long time.
She did not like this, and according to others, she is normally the one to end relationships, but Heatwave basically beat her to it. He basically stood her up to the entire academy, which she actually deserved due to her rude behaviors and habits that she hadn't fixed for a very long time. it was shocking to have her simply let it slide that Heatwave did what he did but he simply fell out of it, but she was planning to make him pay for falling out of the relationship with her.
she knew what she wanted to do, but it would truly start to actually ruin Heatwave's life.
