They knew it was gonna happen and yet they still had nothing to do.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________"And I used to hate the drama that went on." Heatwave says, looking out the window to see the acid rains plummeting down. "Now, I need something!"
because of how things were arranged now, the four found themselves with a good chunk of free-time somehow. At first, that free-time was mostly put to cleaning, they completed that a long while ago and now find themselves stuck in some sort of itch.
"We literally asked you if you wanted to play Grokendam." Boulder says, placing down what appeared to be a coin down in a pile with the rest. "What will the drama at our academy do for you?"
"Yeah, the last big thing that went around was when you attacked Areola, and it would be wrong if I didn't not say she fully deserved it." Chase states, not forgetting that at all. "There has not been anything that is known since, unless you count the things that were in the dining area last lunar cycle."
"There were things in the dining area last lunar cycle?" Blades was not aware of this information at all, giving a look of concern as he placed a couple of coins into the middle with the rest.
"That simply proves my point." Chase declares as he throws more coins into the middle. "Unless someone has something interesting to keep us on the latest things, we are pretty much stuck being bored all the time."
"Heatwave's 'dating' life certainly kept most of us pretty invested." Boulder says, not really focusing on the tragedy of it all. "isn't that right, Heatwave?"
"Yeah, and that is also very dead." Heatwave says, almost annoyed that there was a moment which they thought he was going to give up being so angry and upset all the time. "My 'dating' life will be resurrected when my happiness is a d guess what? that will never happen."
"Your smile is now going into my list of nightmares." Blades says, seeing the not-existent joy that is present in the smile Heatwave has as he just stares at the group. "so, do you want to play or not?"
"I am terrible at Grokendam, why would I even play?" Heatwave questions.
"You are only as terrible as you say you are at it because you enjoy the betting part of it." Chase notes aloud. "But then you end up losing all your Delbums because you bet too much sometimes and then throw the pile and storm off in an inconvenient manner."
a notification rang through the room, Boulder taking a moment to check the datapad nearby to see who it was for. There was a moment of silence as Boulder was reading what was on there, making it indefinite that it was for him. He showed some brief excitement, but that faded fast.
"Well?" Blades asks, wanting to know the news.
"Apparently there was a break-in earlier today." Boulder says, sounding a little surprised he was even saying those words.
"Well that must have been a rather quick capture since we are only hearing of it now." Chase points out. "By chance does it say how they were caught."
"According to Aoife, the culprit was caught kissing one of her teammates."
The horrendous looks and sound were quick to make their way around the room.
"Ok, as much as I would like to know," Blades seriously was shocked and pretty much couldn't find the urge to think further. "I really don't want to know."
"And this is why I gave that up." Heatwave says.
they all still wondered how they were going to make it to the end of the year.
