Heatwave and Chase decided to have somewhat of a normal conversation a bit after Heatwave actually spoke for the first time, which led to a multitude of findings as well as some understanding of what they really had in common.
They talked with one another, talking about a bit of things here and there over a cup of energon, even going along past the time they were supposed to be in recharge. They learned many things from one another, especially about what their lives were like before they were at the academy as they were quite young.
Chase eventually realized that what Blades had told him upon Heatwave and what the red bot liked and disliked was actually mostly not the case. When Chase asked for some clarification on this, Heatwave was wheezing as he explained that most of what he was told was pretty much all that Blades liked, but was assumed to be Heatwave's favorites as well.
Chase then realized why the challenge had been so difficult in the first place, it was all because Blades. Chase did confront Blades on this and Blades thought he was kidding, but Chase didn't fully tell him that Heatwave physically spoke this to him. Blades didn't really know this was the case and then continuously apologized for seeming like a liar, which took Chase a good while to have him calm down and tell him it was alright.
