Chapter 88

Shadow King (while appearing from the ground): It seems like the spirit you two made friends with decided to step in ruining my plans.

Anna (after they stand): Where did you take us?

Shadow King: To a dimension where no one can find us. The only way to return is to kill me.

Anna (grabbing her pendant): Kill you we shall. For the hope of the world (at the same time pulling her pendant) we will beat you.

Anna's pendant soon glows turning into a sword at the same time she changes into her royal form releasing a strong magic aura that the Shadow King never sensed before while Keith's eyes change into his shadow eyes.

Shadow King: Oh this is going to be interesting.

Keith (after his katana appears): You ready for this dance milady?

Anna: Of course.

A shadow hand suddenly appear from behind but Keith turns around covering his blade in lightning unleashing a horizontal slash before making a slime sword appear in his other hand to unleash a vertical lightning whip slash. Two more hands appeared from both sides but they were immediately destroyed by two fire swords that stabbed through the palms instantly burning them.

Shadow King: How did you know?

Anna (while her eyes are faintly spiritual eyes): Sorry (after suddenly appearing behind the Shadow King) but you have to find out for yourself.

Anna unleashed a vertical slash but the invisible barrier stopped her for a second. However, the barrier soon started cracking allowing her slash to go through cutting one of the Shadow King's arms. After stepping away Keith appeared behind about to unleash a slash to cut the Shadow King's other arm but he turned into a mist to gain more distance.

Shadow King (in his mind while looking at his missing arm): Why isn't my arm regrowing or any magic flowing through? (look at Anna's sword) What type of sword is that?

Anna (in her mind having her eyes normal): Why isn't his arm regrowing? (look at her sword) Could it be that my blood still had some antidote left without me knowing? However, it makes sense since I had to put my blood into the pendant so only I could use it. Did I change this sword to be the only thing that can defeat the Shadow King?

Keith (from a distance): Anna don't get distracted.

When Anna looked up she saw a lightning beam rushing towards her but Keith appeared in front of Anna holding his hand out absorbing the Shadow King's lightning. Once the lightning disappeared Keith's hand was showing a few sparks so he made three ice spikes appear in his hand before throwing them at the Shaow king. However, when the ice spikes were about to reach the Shadow King they exploded having the shattered ice spread around him allowing the lightning to shock the Shadow King from all angles.

Anna (while the lightning sparks disappear from Keith's hand): Sorry about that but when did you learn how to absorb other people's lightning?

Keith (turns his head a bit): From hard training.

Twelve shadow dogs appear charging at them but lightning dogs that are covered in slime armour appear stopping the shadow dogs before eliminating them.

Anna (while the lightning dogs walk towards them): Aww what cute dogs. These must be another one of your creations.

Shadow King: Demon girl I challenge you to a death duel.

Keith: Are you serious?

Anna (while she has her hand on one of the lightning dog's foreheads): What's the meaning of this?

Shadow King: It's because we never got the chance to finish our duel in my realm.

Anna (after interrupting Keith by holding her hand near his mouth): I the Vampire Queen accept the duel that was given to me by the Shadow King.

Keith (look at Anna): Are you crazy?

Anna: I must do this. Many times you save me and I save you but destiny predicted this for me.

Keith (in his mind while Anna walks ahead): I understand why you didn't tell me. Something dangerous like this would make me want to stop you.

Anna (in her mind while about to reach the Shadow King): Forgive me love.

Shadow King (while a barrier appears): Finally a match between you and me.

(inside barrier)

Anna: I can't wait to have your head. (in her mind while feeling Shoto and Shizuka touch her shoulders) I feel you. Please wish me luck from the heavens.

Anna and the Shadow King charge towards each other flowing their magic aura into their blades so that when their blades hit it releases a strong force of wind. Once Anna broke the block a shadow hand appeared from underneath but she did a back walkover by using one hand before having the blade cover in fire to unleash an upper diagonal slash. Multiple hands suddenly appear to crush her.

Shadow King (after seeing multiple fire spikes stab through the shadow's hands): You stubborn Vampire Queen.

Anna (Shadow King sees her wings covered in fire having the spikes flow back into the source after the shadow hand disappears): I learn new stuff after almost being defeated.

The Shadow King charged towards Anna unleashing a vertical slash but her body disappeared in a fire effect however the Shadow King suddenly turned around blocking an unexpected attack seeing Anna in mid-air holding a katana that looked like the sword she was just using. After pushing Anna away she activated her future sight once she landed so with every attack the Shadow King made Anna disappear landing a hit on blind spots before ending up stabbing him in the chest.

Shadow King: Wrong spot.

Anna (in her mind after pulling her katana out): That's where I saw the core.

Suddenly shadow spikes shot out underneath Anna but when it hit her armour they tried to consume her so she immediately detached all her armour before the Shadow King arm extended stabbing her in the stomach.

Shadow King (Anna's eyes return to normal while she falls to her knees after dropping her katana): Not bad. You quickly detached your armour but you're still slow to notice my sneak attacks.

Anna (grabs the Shadow King's wrist): You sure about that?

Shadow King (in his mind after noticing): Where's her weapon?

Anna threw a bright fire orb into the air releasing a bright light to make both of them blind but that allowed Keith to appear from the Shadow King's shadow while holding Anna's katana. Once the light dimmed the Shadow King's viewpoint suddenly changed by spinning. However, once the head hit the ground the Shadow King noticed he was no longer attached to his body looking at Keith.
