A week later
Knock knock knock
"Come in" I shouted before Meredith came in and sat down
"Welcome back Dr Grey how was your holiday" I asked replacing the pen in my hand with a mini basketball that occasionally throw into the hoop on the other side of my office
"It was good thank you Dr Shepherd and I'm glad to be back and I'm going to get back to work" she said getting up but I jumped up turned her around and kissed her and she kissed me back
"I like you Meredith a lot and this past week has been horrible I've missed you so much" I said sitting her down
"I've missed you too Derek and I like you too I've liked you since the day we met and I want to be more than friends" she replied
"Well what about a date tonight I'll pick you up at 7:30"
"Yea sure but do you know where I live"
"Yes I do Alex invited me for drinks when you were in Boston I'll see you later" I said kissing her quickly then leaving the room with a huge smile on my face but I was soon paged by someone 911 to the front entrance. From the catwalk you can see the front entrance and there she was sitting on a chair with someone Addison Montgomery.
"Addison what are you doing here" I said walking up to her
"I came here to see my patient I operated on her a few weeks ago and she is here for a check up and I wanted to speak to you about getting a job here" she said
"Well I can give you privileges but I'll have to decide on giving you a job"
"Well I was hoping you could give my fiancé Pete a job he was fired from Seattle Pres after doing a unauthorised procedure and I heard you need a new plastic surgeon to work under Sloan"
"Yes I do if you send him to meet me on Thursday I'll speak to him"
"Thank you I'll see you later Derek" she said walking away
2 HOURS LATER
I walked into my office and I saw Meredith lying on my couch asleep
"Meredith why are you sleeping on my couch" I asked kneeling down in front and shaking her gently
"I was stressed and since we're a couple I came here because all the on call rooms are getting new beds" she said letting me sit next to her
"Well how long have you been awake"
"About 3 days I've had surgery's and traumas"
"How long have you been asleep"
"About fifteen minutes" she said rubbing her eyes
"Well why don't you lie on me and sleep" she said putting her head on my lap and falling asleep.
