I woke up in the usual position I did every morning. Meredith next to me with my arm around her. I had been awake for about 10 minutes before I got up, got dressed and headed down stairs. When I got down stairs Izzie was sitting in the living room
"Morning Stevens your up early" I said sitting next to her
"Yea I couldn't sleep but I'm glad your here because I need some advice" she replied
"Shoot"
"I don't know what to do about Alex or Andrew"
"Well you have to pick on what your heart wants i should know I had to pick between Spencer and Meredith and I went with my heart and listened to Spencer when she said to go to Meredith and look at us now we're married so go with you heart" I said
"If you we're me who would you go for"
"Izzie I can't make that decision for you"
"Yea your right thanks Derek"
"Your welcome I would love to stay and talk but I need to get to work" I said getting up and walking to the door when I heard Mer come down the stairs
"Hey where you going" she asked
"I have a early surgery today...a trauma came in last night and I didn't want to wake you" I replied
"Oh do you really have to go" she said pulling me in
"Unfortunately but I'll see you later" I said placing a kiss on her lips and walking away slowly letting go of her hand.
