The New Year

"Derek...Derek wake up" I said shaking him
"What is it" he replied sleepily
"We have to get up your sisters are 15 minutes away with your mother"
"Well that's 15 minutes away I don't see why we can't sleep in for 15 minutes" he said pulling me into him and putting his arms around me
"What about Chris" I said giggling
"He's still asleep" he replied
"How have I lasted another year with you God...I'm divorcing you in 2016" I laughed
"You wish you can't last an hour without me" he said kissing my cheek.
We lay there for another few minutes before we got up.
Later on that day (8pm)
"Hey guys this is a great party I'm glad we came here instead of just spending it ourselves" Jo said with her arm around Alex
"We're glad your all here it's nice to bring in the new year with friends" I said
"Well the only problem is Mer your parties boring I remember you used to dance on tables and play beer pong and everything now it's just a couple of beers and shots your getting old" Alex said
"I'm not old I'm just a mother of two children" I said sneakily
"Two children what since when" he asked
"Oh yea you weren't here at Christmas I'm pregnant again"
"Oh wow congrats guys now Alex is a great name an excellent one in fact" he laughed while hugging me.
For the next few hours we laughed and talked until Derek realised it was 11.45.
"15 minutes everyone" he said and everyone slowly one by one went outside except 1 Derek went to check on Chris then joined us all.
I was standing alone by the tree line leaning against a rock until two strong arms wrapped around me from behind.
"Hey" I said cuddling into him
"Hi" he replied kissing my neck
"Slow down cowboy we still have 4 minutes left" I said and he stopped kissing me
"Chris is still fast asleep" he replied helping me up
"Good and Derek out of 1 universe, 9 planets, 204 countries, 809 islands and 7 seas I had the privilege of meeting you and becoming your wife I love you Derek and I wouldn't change that for anything" I said wrapping my arms around his waist
"I love you too Mer and I'm so glad your the mother of my children" he said before we were interrupted
"Mer, Derek come over here there's 20 seconds left" Alex shouted and we walked towards them
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Everybody shouted as Owen lit off the fireworks. Everybody hugged each other until it came to the couples.
"Happy new year Der" I said wrapping my arms around his neck
"Happy New Year Mer" he said before he planted several kisses on my lips.
I hope 2016 is better.

2015 has been such a good year for me one of the reasons is because I have found my passion for writing by finding this and I'm so glad I decided to start reading and with all the support you guys have gave me is incredible.
