The Grey Reality

Finaly Moved in

I've been moving into Meredith's house for the past 3 weeks and I've finally moved the last box. I had been living at marks apartment and now I'm moving in with my girlfriend........and her three room mates George, Izzie and Alex.
"Derek how many boxes do you have left" Mer asked
"this is the last one, are you tired already I had like 6 boxes" I replied
"Yea but they were really heavy"
"Meredith 80% were clothes"
"Guys would you like some cupcakes" Izzie said all perky and happy then handing Meredith a cupcake but it didn't last long in her hand because she squashed it against my face then ran upstairs and I chased after her.
When I got to the top of the stairs she was already in the room trying to hide. I got into the bedroom and I saw her trying to get under the covers and I jumped on the bed as well tickling her sides but eventually stopping and cuddling her.
"I love you Derek" she said as I kissed her neck softly
"I love you too Mer" I replied we were in a moment until we heard a thump then giggling coming from downstairs.
"O'MALLEY!!!! What are you doing on the floor" I shouted
"Who is that guy and what's he doing in our house and how does he know my name" he asked Izzie who was helping him up. George had just got back after being away for a month in Chicago visiting his sick grandmother so he knew nothing about who I was and what I was doing here.
"George this is Derek" Mer said taking my hand
"Hi George I'm the new doctor at the hospital well I wouldn't say doctor more the new chief of surgery nice to meet you by the way" I said with a smile
"What...are you like..Mer's new boyfriend or something" he asked really confused
"Yes he is George he's moving in today" Meredith said smiling
"Ok anyway nice to meet you" he replied
"Hey it's 007 I would say it's nice to see you but it's not" Alex said coming down stairs
"Karev have you got your car fixed" I asked
"No I was going to walk to work I'm picking my car up tonight" he replied
"Well if you just wait I'll drive you and Mer in I need to go in and sign off on the new peads/OB attending"
"Ok" he said sitting down as me and Meredith went to go get dressed and when we had finished we hopped into the car and started driving to work.
"So why do you call him 007?" I asked
"Well on his first day he was asked to go solo on an appy and messed up so it was kind of a licence to kill. 007 kind of thing......we also call him Bambi because he reminds us of the scene on the ice when the deer is slipping about so yea" Alex replied
"Ok I wish I had never asked" I said looking at Meredith as she placed her hand on my knee
"You ok you look a bit pale" she asked putting her hand on my forehead
"Yea I'm fine" I said but I really wasn't fine Meredith hadn't seen the scar on my upper side just next to me chest under my arm. Just under a month before I came to Seattle a shooter came into the hospital I was working at and shot several people including me because he wanted to get to the chief and I stopped him but he shot me while I did that. It still gives me problems because the bullet went through my chest clipping my heart so I have my days.
"Dude you really don't look good" Alex said getting out the car and walking beside me.
As we got to the front entrance I felt really dizzy and felt like I couldn't stand. Then everything went black and I felt myself falling.
MEREDITH'S POV
"Derek wake up are you ok" I said shaking Derek
"I'll go get a wheel chair and a nurse" Alex said running inside but before he came back Dr Bailey was walking into the hospital
"Miranda something's wrong with Derek he just passed out" I said as she helped me get him into the wheel chair that Alex had just brought out what could be wrong with him.
