"Derek it's so nice to see my boy again" my mom said coming towards me then embracing me in a hug.
"Hey mom it's nice to see you too" I said hugging her back. when she pulled away she spotted Meredith
"Hello Meredith I'm so happy to finally meet my new daughter" she said hugging her
"It's nice to meet you too Mrs Shepherd" Meredith replied returning a hug
"No it's mom now because the way your making my little boy feel your now part of the family"
"Thank you so much your son is a spectacular man and I'm so lucky to have him" she said taking my hand
"Well I'm glad to hear that he's just like his dad and I'm so proud of him"
"I wish I had met Derek's dad and what he's told me about him he sounds like a really nice man"
"He was.........so Meredith, Derek your in Derek's old room" she said pointing up stairs
"Ok thanks mom we'll be down soon"
"Derek do you know what time Mark and his girlfriend will be getting here"
"Around 7:30 tomorrow morning what about Amelia?" I asked
"9:30 tomorrow night she's excited to see you"
I went up to join Meredith at the top of the stairway and walked her to our room.
