Fired

I woke up to sobbing but I didn't think anything of it until it got louder. I looked up and found Meredith's chest moving up and down in an unusual pattern.
I moved closer and wrapped her in to my body with my arms.
"What's wrong" I asked
"I don't know I am just worried you might leave me for Spencer and I know you won't but it's just the hormones" she said breaking my heart
"Mer I'm never going to leave you why would I"
"I don't know"
"Meredith you are the prettiest woman I have ever met and I've lost you once and I don't want to lose you again" I said as my pager went
"I thought you were off" she asked
"I am it's Dr Hunt" I replied getting up and changing into a shirt and pants with a red tie the going and doing my hair. After I did all this I walked over to Mer
"Do you want anything while I'm out" I asked
"Some chocolate oh and movies we can spend the day in bed" she replied stroking her belly
"Done I'll try and be home before 10 you try and get some sleep ok" I said kissing her
"Ok love you"
"Love you too" I said before kissing her belly then her and headed
down stairs.
At the hospital
I headed up to my office after surgery and looked at the clock
"12:30 dammit" I said picking up my phone
M-hello
D-hey honey it's me I just got out of surgery I'll be home in 30 minutes
M-it's ok I just woke up anyway but remember my chocolate
D-never forgot about it love you
M-love you too I'll see you soon
D-sure will
I said before she hung up and someone knocked on the door
"Come in" I shouted and Spencer walked in
"Matthews what can I do for you" asked
"Derek you leave Meredith and we can be together we can move back to New York and be happy together" she said moving closer
"No Spencer I love Meredith and she's having my baby" i replied moving back
"Don't lie to yourself Derek you don't love her you never"
"Yea you know what I never loved her when I moved into her. I never loved her when I said I do and also I never loved her when she said we were having a kid together. What is wrong with you Spencer are you just in your own world" I said picking up my jacket
"Derek you'll come running back to me sooner or later and you'll and we'll get together and I'll be chief of neurosurgery again"
"No but I'll make this easier for me......your fired Spencer I want your stuff out of your office now so that means I will need your lab coat" I said holding out my hand as she placed her coat in it and walked out
After she walked out I placed her coat in a filing cabinet and headed to the store. I got Meredith a box of chocolates a chocolate bar and a bunch of flowers. Then headed back.
When I got in the house and in to the bedroom Meredith was asleep curled up in the covers. I walked over and kissed her cheek and she squirmed.
"Well it's about time" she said making me smile
"Sorry the surgery went long and then I had to fire someone" I replied taking off my shoes and tie then sitting on my side of the bed next to her
"Who?"
"I had to fire Spencer" I said making Meredith grow a shocked look on her face
"What why?"
"I just can't work with her anymore she keeps trying to get into my pants and it's just I'm afraid that she might go further"
"Do you feel like you made the right decision?" She asked placing her hand on my thigh
"Yea it's for the better but now I have to get a new neurosurgeon"
"would you like help"
"Yes please I'll make a few calls and we'll go through it tomorrow night" I said
"Okay but first cuddles and kisses" she said kissing me quickly then wrapping me in a hug and we continued doing that all night talking cuddling and sharing little kisses.
