Meredith has been sitting at my desk for about 24 hours all she's had was a glass of water about 20 minutes ago and all I can do is sit and stare at her but I've had enough
"Meredith get up" I said walking into my office
"Derek I don't think I can" she replied on the brink of tears
"Meredith even if we just go for a walk and get some fresh air"
"Can I get a hug first" she said slowly getting up
"Of course you can Mer" she fell into my arms and cuddled up into my chest
"Derek I'm so so sorry for losing our baby"
"Meredith don't you dare be sorry it wasn't your fault I should have been here" I said starting to realise it was my fault
"Derek no don't put this on yourself it definitely wasn't you it's the world smacking us down for getting to comfortable" she said holding my cheeks
"Meredith are we ok"
"Derek of course we're ok your my husband we're going to be fine we just need to keep talking and we won't grow apart but Derek when I'm ready.....I want to try for another baby" she said stunning me.
