"Chief you wanted to see me" Luka said walking into my office
"Kovac don't sit down we're going for a drink" I said putting on my coat.
"I can't sir I'm driving" he said holding up his keys
"it doesn't need to be alcohol"
I said walking out behind him. Once we got across to the bar I saw it was filled with doctors and nurses. We made our way to the bar and sat down.
"So Kovac are you married?" I asked before taking a drink.
"Yes my wife works at the hospital too, Abby Lockhart" he replied smiling.
"Oh ok so you didn't come here to get my wife back"
"Oh god your Meredith's husband" he said placing his head in his hands
"Yes and she's told me all about you believe me" I said taking another drink
"I did not come here for Meredith I came here to get away from Chicago and the last time I spoke to her she was still in Boston" he said
"Oh ok well if you go anywhere near my wife I'll kill you....have a nice night Dr Kovac" I replied finishing my what he thought was Vodka but was actually just water and left.
Once I got home Meredith was lying on the couch it made me smile just seeing her so peaceful with her growing baby bump. I walked round and squared in front of her.
"Honey come on let's get you up to bed" I whispered as I kissed her head.
"Okay" she mumbled as I helped her up wrapping my arm around her and taking her up to bed.
Luka's POV
"Honey I'm back" I said walking into the house.
"Hey sweetie what did Shepherd want" she asked walking out the kitchen
"He took me to a bar, don't worry I didn't drink and told me that he'd kill me if I go anywhere near Meredith in a romantic form" I said sitting on the stairs
"Don't worry he won't need to kill you because I would have done it first" she laughed
"You know I wouldn't do that to you" I said pulling her onto my lap.
"I love you Luka" she said placing her head on my shoulder
"I love you too Abby"
I kissed her head before we got up and went upstairs to bed. I have to admit I like it here everything is good...well everything good just now........
