"So how do we pick the interns?" Meredith asked me grabbing the files
"We could read out the facts about them and we'll decide by how good they are do you want to start?" I replied
"Yea sure so I have Stephen James he's 27 and from right here in Seattle. He finished first in his class and he says he has a passion for neurosurgery"
"He sounds like a good student put him in the box of people we're choosing"
"Peter Lockhart he's 30 he's Scottish and he completed second in his class and he has family relations to Steven Lockhart the general surgeon and Alice McKay the neurosurgeon" I said holding up his file
"Yea put him in the box" she said and I did.
After an hour of picking interns Arizona came storming in with Mark.
"Chief Shepherd tell Dr Sloan that he can't moved James Barbra's forehead forward it would too much of a hard surgery for a 14 year old boy" she said sitting on a seat in front of my desk while Mark stayed standing
"He agreed to the surgery he wants to look like the other kids" he replied
"What about the parents" I asked
"They want what the kid wants" he said again
"Well if they want the surgery you give them the surgery" I replied
"Thank you chief" he said walking out
"But chief he's 14 he can't handle a surgery like that"
"I don't want to hear it Dr Robbins and if it goes bad I'm to blame." I replied watching her walk out
"Oh my mans getting all chief like and I like it" she said as I was taking a toy basketball off my desk
"Oh do you now" I said throwing it at her
"Derek grow up" she giggles throwing it back
"You grow up" I replied taking a shot and scoring it
"Even with an injury I can still score sitting down" I said winking at her
"I love you"
"I love you too Mer" I replied watching her walk over
"You'll love me more after I do this" she said sitting on my knee and kissing me
"I'll love you no matter what your doing" I replied all charming.
