THREE WEEKS LATER
MARK AND DEREKS HOUSE
"Dude how's single life" Mark asked sitting down on the couch
"I hate it I just hate being without Meredith" I replied
"Well there's only one solution"
"Mark I'm not going to a strip club"
"But......but......but why"
"Dude just shut up" I said getting up and walking to my room
"Derek your not calling her your not allowed you promised me and the guys you wouldn't until the break time was up" he shouted and ran after me but I closed the door in his face locking it and dealing her number
"Hello Meredith Grey speaking" she said
"Meredith are you working today?" I asked
"Yes why?"
"Well I really need to talk to you"
"Really so do I what about you meet me in the cafeteria at 1:30"
"Ok see you there"
"Bye" she said before hanging up the phone
I started to get dressed in my shirt and tie because I was going to head into work for a while. As I was walking out Mark stopped me.
"Where are you going?" He asked
"Work....I'm going to go in and finish up some paperwork" I replied
"Is Meredith working?"
"No she is not I already checked with George"
"Ok off you go"
30 MINUTES LATER
I walked into the cafeteria and I saw Meredith sitting at a table outside so I went and got a sandwich and joined her.
"Hey" I said sitting down
"Hey it's nice to see you" she replied
"So how's your day going"
"It's going good there was a trauma that came in this morning and I brought a guy back from being brain dead what about you?"
"Sounds interesting and Mark has been annoying me all morning"
"Well that's Mark........you've ehm left a lot of your stuff at the house which is what I wanted to talk to you about.....eh."
"Can I go first" I interrupted
"Yea sure"
"Meredith I miss you and I hate being with out you. I know that we said we'd leave it a few months before we decide but I want you back Mer what do you say will you come back to me"
"D....Derek I was thinking exactly the same thing yes I'll come back to you" she replied taking my hand
After 20 mins I was paged to the ER.
"Well I better get going I'll see you later" I said getting up and leaning over the table
"Bye I love you" she said getting up as well and pulling me in for a kiss
"I love you too"
LATER ON THAT NIGHT
"Hey" I said walking in the front door
"Hey how's my man" Meredith asked tapping the couch to come lay down with her
"Tired I've had enough of residents not teaching their interns because when it comes down to traumas the interns are just standing there doing nothing" I said lying down next to her putting my head on her chest while she started running her fingers through my hair.
"Do you want me to talk to them"
"No but can you help I'm gonna take them one by one and run through the teaching methods with them"
"Well we can take three each since there is six residents we can have it done in under 45 minutes what do you say"
"Well aren't you just a beautiful genius" I said lifting up my head and kissing her
"Well Derek great minds do think alike that's why I'm with you and also because your really really hot"
"I love you Meredith"
"I love you too Derek"
We spent most of that night talking laughing and making jokes before we realised it was 2AM and I had to be up at 5 so we went to bed even if it was for three hours.
