I made my way through the shiny, huge lobby of my father's company, i was called in today by my secretary, well my father's secretary, but after he died, I didn't see a point to let her go, she was really good at her job, so i decided, why not just keep her too?

Anyway, she called to say i had some kind of important meeting i had to attend and be present at, personally i hated all these work, not that I hated working at my father's company, no, i like it actually, it kind of reminds me of my father, but recently, i think after having seen Stefano at the hotel Astoria that night, my mind has kind of been in a lot of places at once, I've been so distracted.

I didn't think I'd actually see him there that day, i went for a last minute late night meeting and just as i was about to leave, i saw him, i didn't think he saw me, and i actually didn't want him to see me, not yet at least.

But since then I've not been myself, and work has kind of been on the least of my priorities lately, but as hard as it may be, I actually have to show up once in a while, and this is one of those rare moment when I actually have to be here for whatever meeting they're holding to be possible.

I made my way into the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor, I looked at my wristwatch and it was already almost 10am, I sighed out and looked at the numbers on the elevator, it made a ding sound and opened up, I was already at the last floor, I got off the elevator and made my way towards my office, hopefully the meeting delays a bit so I can gather my thoughts, before I go into the conference room.

I was just close to my secretary's desk when I heard her arguing with someone, causing me to frown slightly
"Sir, you can't go in and wait for him, you don't have an appointment" she insisted to whoever she was talking to

"I don't need an appointment to see him" I heard the voice and I clenched my jaw, hating the fact that I already recognized his voice even from here, I made my presence known as my eyes landed on him, he was standing in front of my office, with my secretary blocking him from my door

"Welcome sir" she said with relief etched on her face the minute she saw me, I just gave her a nod and grinded my teeth, my gaze shifting to the man in front of me, he turned to look at me, and he had that stupid smug look on his face as he shoved his hands into his pocket.

I made my way past both of them as my secretary moved from the door, giving me space while he tried to push her, I just raised my hand to her "it's okay" I muttered and she stared at me shocked for a second before she nodded and made way for him "hold my meeting for a few more minutes, will you"? I muttered and she nodded before walking back to her desk, I pushed open my door and stepped inside and he was hot on my trail.

His shoes making loud clicking sounds on the marbled floor, I made my way around the desk and pulled it out, taking off my jacket, I sat down and placed my hand on the table, looking up at him, his eyes raked the office before they landed on me and he walked towards the chair in front of my table, he perched himself on it, with my eyes still on him.

"What are you doing here Winston"? I asked and he just cocked his brows at me, as though he was shocked at how I addressed him

"You weren't picking your calls and you weren't answering any of your mails" he stated matter of fact, I sighed out and looked at my table, picking out the files and setting them asides

"Did it occur to you that perhaps I didn't respond to your emails and I didn't pick your calls on purpose"? I asked and he just clicked his tongue and nodded his head slowly "we had an arrangement, you're never to meet me here" I told him and he just smiled and pointed his finger at me.

"That was before I knew about Christian coming to Italy and you keeping it from me" he muttered out, causing me to stop dead in my tracks, I looked up at him and he shrugged, using the pen on my table to play
