"You did what"? Alicia asked, obviously dumbfounded and shocked, but there was a glint in her eyes, and a grin spreading across her face, I ignored her little outburst and made my way around my table, across to the cabinet in my office, pulling out one of it's drawers and scanning the contents inside, I could barely concentrate with Alicia talking down my ear, but I had a deadline I needed to meet by the end of today
"Are you kidding me, or you actually said yes to him"? She asked, swirling her chair and facing me, I sighed out but ignored her completely.

I don't know why she's so invested in what goes on in my life, especially my dating life, I won't be surprised if she suddenly wants to know about my sexual life, I wouldn't put it past her to pry into that too
"Luke"!!! She squealed, causing me to give her a bored annoyed look "give me more news here, you can't leave me hanging, give me the deets big brother" she said overly excited, I just rolled my eyes at her, and looked back at the cabinet, before pulling out the file I needed and made my way back to my chair.

She had her eyes on me keenly, as I sat down, setting the files in front of me, I looked up at her and she raised a questioning brow at me.
"What more do you want me to say Alicia"? I asked and she groaned out and rolled her eyes at me "he asked me to go out with him, on one date, just one date and I agreed, what's there to be so excited about"? I asked and she gave me a pointed look

"You're so dumb sometimes It makes me head hurt" she muttered out and I raised a brow at her

"You do know I'm older than you"? I asked and she flipped me off and started shaking her head

"Someone as hot as Adriano asked you out, and you're acting so anticlimactic about it? You're hopeless, don't you know what this means"? She asked and I clenched my jaw and cocked my brows at her
"It means he likes you dummy" she groaned out and I just shook my head

I sighed out heavily, closing the file in front of me, and facing her with all my attention "let's say you're right and he does like me, it doesn't change anything Alicia" I stated and she gave me one of those infamous glares, but I didn't falter, she should know they don't work on me anymore
"I don't like him like that" I added and she gives me a pointed look

"There you go again with this not liking him thing, you don't want to admit it Luke, but I think you like him more than you realize" she started, causing me to clench my jaw, she's about to start again, I really need to cut the way I let her hang around my office, I have a lot of shit going on for me, and I don't want to add Alicia breathing down my neck to it.
"If you didn't like him, you wouldn't have accepted to go out with him" she stated matter of fact, and I just sighed out, my sister and her optimism

"Alicia I only agreed to go out with him, to get him off my back, at least I'll get rid of him after the date" I stated and she just kept staring at me, her gaze telling me that she didn't believe what I just said.

"Are you sure that the only reason you agreed to go out with him"? She asked mischievously and I just rolled my eyes and looked back down at the file in front of me, peeling it open "you know, you could have easily turned him down and scare him to never bother you again, yet you chose to say yes, which means you like the idea of going out with him" she muttered, I looked at her again, and she just shrugged

"One I don't like the idea of going out with him, two I don't think there's anything that I can say, that can possibly scare Adriano to stay away from me" I muttered out, and she smirked, making me ignore her completely again, and focus on the file in front of me, it's pointless trying to argue with her, she can believe whatever she wants, I know I don't like Adriano.

True he's handsome, and very attractive, and he's persistent, and he sometimes makes me nervous, and he gives me this funny feeling in the pit of my stomach, but that doesn't mean I like him, I can't like him, I can't like anyone, not right now.
