Chapter 10

Luke

The moment I have been waiting for is finally here, and I am fucking nervous and scared.
My mind is in overdrive, Stefano had finally called me yesterday, said he wanted to meet and talk, and he wanted to do that at my hotel room.

Thank God the bruises his boyfriend left on my face had some how healed themselves.
After he had left that day I was a ball of emotions, I couldn't control all the pain and anger I felt.
So I didn't bother treating my wounds, I just laid there and sobbed myself into oblivion.

I know I did Stefano wrong, but it can't be that bad that I deserve all these things I've been getting from those close to him.
I sighed out as I raked my eyes through my room making sure everything else was in place, I don't know when they'll get here, but.... My thoughts were cut short when I heard the door bell.

My heart beat picked up, okay maybe I'm not ready for this, I let out a deep shaky breath, my palms were sweaty and I was overthink a lot of things.
What if he tells me how much he hates me, or how he never wants to see me again?

I swallowed hard and took in a deep breath, you can do this Luke.
For closure, I need to do this.
Even if it doesn't give me the closure I want, I need to do it, at least to get rid of this guilt eating me up

I walked towards the door after giving myself a pep talk, I turned the knob and pulled the door open, my eyes went from his feet first and then his body and his eyes, dark and almost consuming eyes stared back at him, I felt my heart skip a beat.

That can be for so many reasons, one the fact that I am in love with the man in front of me and he doesn't know, two I'm fucking scared of what today might bring forth, and three, I don't want him to look at me like he did that night, it killed me to know that he thought I had betrayed him.

We both stood there as time stopped, I felt my heart beating fast, it was threatening to rip out of my chest, I need to say something.
I can't just stand here like an idiot, he's watching me, his eyes on me was baring me naked.
I looked up at him again and he was still staring at me "Hi Stef" I whispered out to him, I was hoping he'd say something back but he just stared at me with those blank eyes, like he couldn't care less if I was losing my mind just standing in front of him.

Only now did I notice the person beside him, he turned Stefano to face him, cupping his cheek and holding his hand "Are you okay baby"? He asked in a whisper but I heard it, I clenched my jaw tight "do you want to get out of here"? He asked again and this made me look at Stefano, please don't say yes.

He looked at Matteo for a while before his eyes landed on me and I felt my stomach churn with fear, he's going to say yes, he's going to leave.
He looked away from me and I almost wanted to beg him, to ask him to please just give me a second, but I didn't.

Instead I just watched him look at Matteo for a while before he sighed out heavily "I'm ready, let's go" he muttered out, his voice hard and emotionless.
They both turned to face me, and Matteo wrapped his hand around Stefano and I knew it was my cue to make way for them.

This is it, I stepped aside and they both walked into my hotel room, I shut the door, trying to calm my racing heart, I don't know what I'm going to say to him, but at least he's letting me talk to him

I turned around and the first thing my eyes met with, was the intertwined hands of both of them, it made my heart clench with pain.
That's by the way, I need to focus on why he's here, I sighed out and looked up at him, I moved furtter into the living room, I could feel Matteo's eyes on me and he wasn't looking very friendly.

But that didn't bother me, Stefano's gaze was what I was more concerned about.
"Can I offer you anything, juice, water ...." He cut me off

"I didn't come here to drink Luke, what do you want"? He asked, his voice was so empty and uninterested, he didn't sound like the Stefano I knew, this person in front of me, this man looking at me has been through a lot, and it has changed him from the goofy, nice and sweet teenager I used to know.
