Harper's pov

I woke up the next day already at the breakfast table. Mommy was holding me against her front while eating breakfast with daddy next to her. I guess they didn't want to wake me up. Ellie is at the other side of mommy but I can't see because I'm facing daddy. I could hear everyone around us talking which stressed me out. I slowly turned my head more into mommy, showing her I was awake and nervous.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." She whispered to me, placing her hand on the back of my head and rubbing my back. I reached one of my hands up to her chest and the other I placed on her tummy before pushing myself up and looking at her. I gave her a smile then looked around at my surroundings.

"Mornin." I mumbled while playing with her necklace. It calms me down a lot when I do that and so many voices of people I barely know meant that I needed to distract myself. I could hear mommy talking to me but wasn't zoned in at all, instead I was busy thinking about mommy singing. It helps me. When I'm upset or scared I think of mommy on stage, and when she sings for me at night sometimes. Sometimes I wake up in the night and hear her playing piano or singing in her music room. I like it when she does that.

"Are you okay tiny?" I heard daddy ask. I turned to look at him but didn't say much. I gave a small nod before throwing myself back at mommy and hugging her as tight and as close as possible. Mommy picked me up and turned me around to face the whole table causing me to let out a little squeal and tense up. I could see a sippy cup with milk in it and some lucky charms next to her food so I looked up at her and reached out for them.

"They're yours baby, you can have them." She reassured me before taking a bite of her own food. There were so many eyes on me and I hated it but I wanted to push through for mommy and daddy, they love all these people and I don't want to ruin that for them.

After a few handfuls of lucky charms I was done and managed to dish myself back around to be facing mommy. She got some of her food on a spoon then held it to my mouth. I giggled a little because that's how babies get fed but I opened my mouth and tried a bit. It was really nice. "Oh my gif, Travis she actually tried something different. Good job baby! Did you like that?" She asked me.

I nodded enthusiastically then looked over at daddy who was grinning. I made them proud and that made me very happy. Mommy held some more up to me which I took again before hugging her. I don't know what she was eating but it was yummy and I wanted some. "Mommy I want." I told her.

Mommy nodded and looked over at daddy, trying to hand me over to him hesitantly. "It's okay Tay, I know how you feel about her not being with you right now so I'll get her some." He told mommy before kissing her on the cheek and getting up. He returned a few minutes later with a plastic bowl of whatever mommy was eating.

After breakfast we all got ready to go on the outside part of the yacht, there's some sun chairs there and the scary part of the boat where you can access the water. I will be staying away from that part. Ellie tried to get me to go in the water with her but mommy wouldn't let me leave her side so I had to sit with the adults while she sunbathed.

She had given me a coloring book and some crayons so I lay on one of the sun beds that was next to hers and coloured for a while. She was in a bikini and I wanted one to match but daddy said no and that I'm too young and need a one piece. I think Ellie got a matching one but she was in the water so I couldn't tell. It's really not fair being young I just want to match and be like mommy.

"Mommy I want hair like you." I told her, turning to look at her. She took the sunglasses off her eyes and looked at me. I saw her take off her sun hat and put it on my head which made me laugh, it was too big but the shade felt nice.

"What do you mean?" She asked me. I pointed to her bangs and she smiled at me. She reached an arm out for me to sit with her so I went over and she sat up. She pulled out the dreaded sunscreen which I HATE! It's all sticky and I hate how it feels on my body but I guess I have to wear it.

"If you let me put some sunscreen on you, I will cut you some bangs right after." She bribed me. She does this a lot and it always works so I nodded and turned around, letting her start with my back. Once she did my whole body it was time for my face, the worst part. As soon as she put some on her hands and reached for my face I flinched back.

"Here let me out it on your hands and you can put it on then I'll rub it in for you. Would that be better? Less off a surprise that way." She asked me. I nodded and held out my hands. She put it into my hands then encouraged me to put it on my face. As soon as I felt it touch my face I started whining. It makes me want to cry from how I feels.

Mommy helped me rub it all in then made me wait while it drys off a bit before going to grab some scissors. When she came back she took the hat off my head and used a comb to section off my hair. At first she cut the bangs long then slowly trimmed off little bits until it was the perfect length. After she had cut them she gave my hair a little brush then kissed my cheek. "Beautiful!" She told me.

"Let's show daddy." She said as she got up and ran inside to where daddy was grabbing a beer. At first I hid my head then once she told him she had a surprise I turned around and smiled at him. "I made her into a mini me!" Mommy told him.

"She actually really suits her hair like that, Tay. Good job at hairdressing." He came over and gave me a hug, taking me from mommy and giving her a glass of some fancy drink. I think he called it a cocktail? I don't know what it is but it looks yummy. I learnt to not try drinking mommy's drinks though because I don't want to get sick and go to hospital again.

"Hey, little Duckie, come to mommy you need to drink something, it's really hot. And I want you to put on a hat to protect you from the heat before you start coloring again please." mommy said. I gave her a confused expression. Who's little duckie? She never calls me that.

She opened her arms for me so I skipped my way over and grabbed my drink that she was holding before putting on a hat and heading back to my seat. Ellie came over to talk to me when she got out of the water for some fruit but her wet hair started dripping on my paper making it ruin my drawing. I went to hit her but stopped myself when mommy said to tell her how I feel and not hurt Ellie.

"It ruined!" I whined, throwing my book on the floor and stomping my way over to mommy. Ellie tried to ask what was happening but I ignored her and pushed past her to climb into mommy's lap "what's ruined sweetheart? What's upset you?" She asked me.

"My drawing. Stupid Ellie ruined it!" I yelled. I threw a crayon on the floor and started crying.

"Don't call Ellie stupid, say sorry to her because that's not a nice thing to say. Ellie didn't mean to ruin your drawing." She told me calmly. Ellie was already apologizing but I didn't want to say sorry. I wanted my drawing to be fixed and now my coloring book is all wet so I can't color anything. She took away my fun. Everyone else gets to play in the water but I can't and now I have to stare at the stupid sky like The adults.

As mommy would say, being a toddler is shit.
