Taylor's pov
Today was the day that I was finally taking harper to watch one of Travis' football games. I couldn't wait to show her what Travis does, she sees me singing all the time but she never gets to see Travis in action. I was quite scared of the fans and what could be said however it was time to take her out of hiding and give her a little bit of publicity.
We wouldn't get away with keeping her away from the media for her whole life so the sooner we got her into the media the sooner she could get used to it. It is more likely for the media to die down after a while and that way when she is older she can stay away a bit more than it is when she gets revealed at an older age.
Paparazzi and media coverage get bored and move on so fast that before we could start to threat the media images of her they would have moved on anyway. It normally takes a week or two, sometimes a month at the most before all is forgotten about.
We got her into a red shirt and shorts before putting on a jacket that I had made for her. It had an 87 on the back and it really was adorable. I had one that was extremely similar so that I could match with her. While I got myself ready Travis brushed out her hair and got her shoes on for her.
It felt like such a long drive to the stadium, Travis was nervous, I could tell. I felt nervous for him. I also worried about Harper, what if she didn't like the whole paparazzi thing and how huge these games were. They weren't exactly the shortest games either. Sometimes we could be there for hours and hours on end waiting for it to be over or for someone to win.
As soon as we exited the car cameras started. I heard small squeaks from Harper every time one tried to speak to her or ask her questions. Who even tries to interact with a random toddler and ask questions. Psychopaths.
We made it away and up into her box before I pulled her away from me to check on her. "They're all gone sweetie don't worry, no more." I told her as I kept her closer and rocked us side to side a little. I looked around and took her over to the counter for some food. "Hey could I get just a really small hotdog please, it's just a kids one."
We waited patiently before I handed it to her. She was soon to open up her mouth and show me her missing teeth. Whoops. Bad move Taylor. I just took it from her and broke tiny pieces off at a time, handing it to her so she didn't need to bite into anything. It took a while to get through the whole thing but it eventually worked.
Just as she finished off she cuddled up to me and whined a little. I really didn't need a whiny toddler all day as it would probably be a late night too but I also had no idea what was wrong with her. Before I could ask I found myself pointing to the screen. "Harper say hi, you're on the screen!"
She turned around and giggled a little when she saw herself and me on the huge screen. She waved at everyone looking before going shy again and cuddling up. We had been the first ones in there and finally people were beginning to arrive.
I introduced her to each person however she didn't seem too interested at all. From what I could gather she just wanted a nap. I searched through my back, pulling out her bear and a pacifier for her before taking off my jacket and covering her up with it. She immediately fell asleep against me.
I just had to hope that she would wake up in time for the game to start.
Eventually after a few long conversations with Travis' parents and other family members the players all came out ready for the game to begin. The noise must have startled her a little as she immediately jumped a little and looked around crying.
I bounced her up and down a little and tried to calm her while also looking for Travis. "Hey shh it's okay we're just watching daddy at work... look there he is, can you see him giving you a wave?" I asked. She nodded and placed her head back down on my shoulder. It really wasn't a good day to bring her to a game but she would end up enjoying it.
As soon as she noticed Jason, a familiar face she wriggled away from me and made her way over. I figured that it would be best to leave her to explore than for her to be bored so that's what I did. I could hear her giggles the entire time that she spoke to each person while she questioned them about who they were. Everyone seemed to adore her.
A while later she placed herself in the front of the glass window. Waving back at each fan who waved at her and watching out for Travis. On a few occasions we did get him wrong. "Momma that daddy?"
"Umm no sweetie see this one is daddy right over there." I told her as I pointed out. She nodded a little and leant back against me. I had positioned myself behind her since she was balancing on a small edge by the window, just in case she fell backwards.
Part way through the game I could see the boredom on her face, no one knew how much longer it could go on for so I decided to look though and hand her some toys. While she played, me and Travis' parents conversed while watching the game.
It wasn't long before I could see Harper making her way back over to me. How could she get bored of her toys so fast? She really did make me laugh a little despite how silly she could be. Her other entertainments of the day were.
Jumping up the stairs by the seats.
Jumping down the stairs, spilling the last step.
Standing on seats.
Laughing at people on the screen
Accidentally cheering for the wrong team (not cool harper)
Calling anyone but Travis her dad
Poking people
Playing with my hair.
Singing to Jason
And of course sleeping.
I honestly couldn't even imagine the amount of memes that had been made but at the same time I really did love her personally. Thankfully it made up for her lack of patience. After what felt like such a long game it was a win for the Chiefs!
What a relief.
Harper was sprawled across multiple seats, fast asleep and laying on her stomach. She was so adorable and the way she had interacted with fans sat by us all evening really did take it out of her. It wasn't an awful thing though. It just meant that me and Travis would get a great night of sleep but an extremely early morning.
I just had to decode the best way to wake such a sleepy toddler so that she could see Travis after his win. He would probably like to hope that she did stay awake the whole time. I also knew that the crowd of people would be awful for her down there and would scare her awake so I wanted to do it first.
I just didn't want to do it wrong.
Hello!
Part one of daddy's girlfriend has been posted so if that was something you were interested in then you should go check it out!
This is Just a little filler chapter for you all as I didn't know where to go to next with the story and if I wanted to skip along or not so until I decide this is one part of the football game and the next chapter will be celebrating Travis win and reuniting with him after his game.
This next week is going to be very slow for updates as I am going to the eras tour and have a whole outfit to craft and have made barely any bracelets. I think these crafts are going to make me go insane but it will be worth it!
Anyway.
What hobbies should Harper take up. I was thinking maybe dance but I'm not sure...
Any requests feel free to comment the here.
Let me know what you thought of this chapter.
Sorry it is so rushed and not the best, I'm trying to get updates done and posted before I get really busy haha.
My aim is to update each Taylor fanfic before tomorrow evening.
Also why do I post so late/early in the morning. I feel like if I post on the daytime for me no one is awake to see it haha.
Hope you enjoyed, have a great day/ night
