Taylor's POV

Right after dinner me and Travis decided it was time for another important chat with Harper. It was one we had been planning for a while but we had to double check with her before it went wrong. We didn't want to freak her out by shocking her too much with it. She sat in my lap with her head on my chest and I could tell that she was starting to fall asleep on me so we had to get it done quickly.

"How do you feel about doggies, Harper?" I asked her.

She shrugged then sat up, rubbing her eyes with her little hands and letting out a yawn. Gosh she melts my heart. I gently held her up with her arms and looked to Travis for him to explain.

"Harper, we wanted to get you a doggy that can help you every day. So when you feel scared the doggy will sense that and he came come to find me or mommy if we aren't there. The doggie can also turn on lights and get you water when you're scared and it can even give you cuddles to help you feel better. It's not just a normal doggy it's a very specially trained one to make you feel safer. How would you feel about that?" He explained. Harper looked at Travis for a while longer then turned to me and nodded.

"Yeah? Should we get that sorted for you, baby?" I asked her. She nodded again before starting to close her eyes while I held her up.

"Stay up just a little longer baby. Bed time isn't for another two hours" I said enthusiastically. She nodded and I managed to distract her by asking her to run and grab her stuffed animals and tell me their names. That lasted a good hour so by that point we were ready to settle her down with a bottle. I got it ready and when I went back into the living room she was cuddled up in Travis' lap with her blankie and Billy who had finally returned from the cleaners.

"Daddy, do bottle please." She mumbled.

Travis looked up at me in shock that he had been chosen by her. I gave him an encouraging nod and double checked that the milk wasn't too hot before handing the bottle to Travis. As much as she needs to get out of the habit it is cute watching her cuddle up each night to me while I give her a bottle like a baby. She never had that in the past and we never experienced it either so it's quite healing for us all.

Surprisingly she fell asleep in Travis' arms instead of mine and she also fell asleep without any fight and earlier than usual. The hospital trip must have exhausted her and she must have needed the sleep desperately.

Overall it ended up being an easy night for us all.

I woke up the next morning to Travis tapping me. I sat up and smiled to see Harper clinging to him. "Could you take her? I need to start getting ready." He whispered. He had a game today and the pin was for us all to go. He has to be there earlier than us and I plan on going as late as possible so that Harper isn't there any longer than she needs to be.

I gave him a small laugh and reached over for her before bringing her into my lap and slowly rocking us both when she started to whine. Thankfully she was out after that. I watched Travis run around getting ready and had to laugh when he asked for my opinion on his outfit and what shoes to put with it.

I had no idea why he was getting ready now and not after lunch but I guess he was just worried for time. Sometimes he does this out of nerves before a game.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing and eventually Travis had to leave. We all gave him a hug and told him good luck. "We love you honey, go smash it on the field we will be watching." I told him.

"Yes." Harper added, causing us to giggle.

Now I just had to get us all ready.

"Okay Ellie in the shower please, Harper, come on, let's go take a bath. Or you can shower with me?" I asked her. She immediately pointed at me so that gave me my answer. We showered as quickly as possible when dealing with a toddler and I found her a cute little skirt and top. I paired it with some black tights and some cute black shoes with little buckles on them. Ellie and I wore similar outfits.
