Taylor's POV

After an hour at the game the celebrations of the crowd and myself each time a touchdown was scored or Travis got the ball unfortunately managed to wake up Harper. Not only was she upset because she had been woken up but she had also remembered where we were and immediately became anxious and desperate for comfort.

I had laid her down across a few empty seats but she immediately started sobbing for me and trying to get me to pick her up while I celebrated once again. I looked down to see her having a full on panic attack and swapped from my fun side to my serious side. I dropped down to her higher and reached out for her little hands, holding them in mine and gently rubbing my thumbs over the back of her hands.

"Snuggies." She mumbled while sobbing.

I immediately understood and opened my arms for her. She walked toward me and straight into my arms. She hurried her face into my jacket and cried against me for a good while. "Okay, since it's clearly difficult for you to calm down here, why don't we go out to the gift shop? Give you a little break and see if there's anything we like in there?" I suggested.

I couldn't see too well but I knew she gave me a small nod so I quickly scooped her up. I handed her blankie and then also got her a go go squeeze and some water. I was trying my best to fatten her up at any chance possible so that I don't have to get her a feeding tube put in. She laid her head back down and ate it. I ended up holding her blankie for her while she continued to cry the whole way out of the busy areas and out to the gift shop.

"There we go, nice and quiet. Let's see what they've got. Look at that! They've got a little teddy bear with a chiefs shirt on. Do you want a bear?" I asked her, adding enthusiasm to my tone. She shrugged and sniffled. She started pulling at her clothes meaning she wanted them off and was ready for a cozy onesie. I don't blame her.

I made my way over to the kids section where thankfully they had little onesies. An even bigger win was finding ones that still had feet attached because those are her favorite. I quickly bought her one and then changed her into it in a corner. She then reached up for me and pointed to the bear that she suddenly decided she wanted. "Okay perfect let's pay then get back to watching daddy. Will you be okay now? You can go back to sleep again and I won't put you down this time I promise." I told her. She nodded again and cuddled closer with her blankie.

I paid then headed back up to our suite where I got back to my seat with Harper and handed her her other comfort items. She was now sitting sideways in my lap. I had one hand on her stomach and one on her waist. I looked down to see her playing with the rings on my fingers and spinning them around. I chuckled and gently rocked us back and forth. Using her blankie, new bear and Billy she managed to drift off easily.  She had one hand wrapped around my finger and her other arm was tightly securing her stuffed animals in her grip.

I continued to rock her for a while after and eventually positioned her against my shoulder so that I could stand up and see Travis. The game went by quick and afterwards Travis came over to us for some hugs. I tried to hand Harper off to him knowing she feels safer in these surroundings with him but she managed to wake up.

"Shh go back to sleep girlie, you're with em you're okay." He told her. I love watching him with her. It's like everything falls into place when he's holding her. She was definitely our missing piece and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect child. She can be a little menace but she's such an angel.

The drive home was almost silent, no one wanted to wake her and we were all exhausted. A good night of sleep was all we needed, especially after the past few days.

Once we got home I took Harper up to bed while Travis and Ellie got themselves ready for bed. As I went to lay her down her small hand gripped tightly into my hair, her way of telling me to stay with her but it was time to start getting her to sleep alone. I gently rubbed her hand to get her to open it before untangling it from my knotted hair and placing it down on the bed.

I leant over and kissed her on the forehead then the cheek and pulled the covers up over her shoulders. I watched as she clutched onto Billy tightly in her sleep and she gently brought her blankie up to her nose. "Good night, precious, I love you my baby girl." I whispered, turning on her night light and slowly heading out. I left her door open and turned on the monitor. I also left the baby gate open because it's better to let her run to our room and cry to us than to wake Ellie up by screaming.

Finally I got into bed and cuddled up to Travis, closing my eyes and letting sleep take over. We had an exhausting day and both of us had barely spent much time together. Usually at bedtime there's a toddler in the middle of us both or hogging me. As much as I love her and I know she needs us so much I do miss my cuddles with Travis and having one on one time to just talk and cuddle with him.

Our sleep didn't last for any more than two hours because soon enough I woke up to a crying toddler standing in our doorway. This sleep training is going to take a lot more effort than I thought.
