Harper was extremely hard to settle that night. Nothing that I said seemed to calm her and all she wanted was Taylor, it was becoming way too stressful for me and I had no idea what to do. I was almost ready to give up and let her scream and cry all night when I got a message from Taylor checking in to see how it was going.
I explained the situation and Taylor took a while to reply but I soon got some clear instructions through. Since she knows Harper better and how to calm her I was definitely thankful for her help.

Okay so take my pillow from my bed and swap it with hers so that it will be like sleeping in our bed. If she isn't calming down, maybe play one of my songs or try to read a book but she's not great at focusing when someone reads to her. Worst case scenario she can have either the pacifier or a bottle but she choses one or the other and she has to understand that it is temporary and not for everyday use. Double check that she doesn't need the bathroom and that she's not too hot or cold in her pajamas because she cries a lot when she doesn't know how to tell you. Try to get all 3 cats to sleep on her bed too. She likes it when she has them around so she doesn't feel as alone. Even if it's hot, put the weighted blanket over her and turn on a fan, she likes the pressure. If that doesn't work, call me and I will try to talk to her until she crashes or something. Give her an extra goodnight kiss from me.
I tried it all and Harper was tucked in with everything that Taylor had listed including a bottle which she had chosen out of the two. She still continued to cry every time I left the room. I was starting to get way too stressed and I had no idea what else to try. I got a message through not too long later.

You're doing great. Don't give up.
I smiled but then I soon heard Taylor's voice coming from her room. I walked in and noticed the baby monitor that Taylor had put in there was speaking. I could tear Taylor speaking through it and watching Harper's face relax was so relieving.
"It's okay harper, I'm right here. I will stay right here until you're alone, just close your eyes for me." Taylor told her. I watched harper close her eyes then Taylor continued to talk to her. "You are perfectly fine with daddy in the house and you've got all of the cats to keep you safe, nothing will happen to you. I can even see you from all the way in a different country and I will keep checking on you in the night. I'm not going anywhere." She told her.
Despite it being through a small speaker I could tell that Taylor was using the same tone as usual. She was being soft and most likely whispering to her through her phone. Eventually Harper fell asleep and Taylor sent another message.

Out like a light, go get yourself to bed. I will talk to you in the morning. Missing you. 🥰
"Goodnight gorgeous girl." She whispered before turning off the microphone and most likely going to bed. I replied to her quickly then got a shower and went straight to bed.
The next morning was eventful. Harper refused to eat for a good two hours but finally when Taylor called she decided she wanted to behave and eat. I told yay how stressful it had been already but she had confidence that it would get better. She didn't have a show for another two days but she had a lot of rehearsals to attend and also sound checks too.
Other than breakfast time the whole day went smoothly, Harper had a nap which she gladly put herself down for and didn't even hesitate. I thought that she would kick off without Taylor but clearly not. After that I sent her outside to play on the trampoline and the little play area that she has.
While Harper was outside I managed to clean almost the whole house. The trampoline alone can entertain her for a good few hours as long as she's got a little snack tray outside and a drink too. By the time I finished I got another call from Taylor. Since I hadn't spoken to her much I decided to take the time to chat with her and relax a little bit with my feet up.
Of course it wasn't long before harper came in screaming and crying. She looked pale and like she could have thrown up at any minute. She was holding her arm and I immediately knew that something was off. "What happened tiny? What's wrong?" I asked, picking her up into my lap.
Taylor was freaking out on the other end of the phone asking what happened. Harper explained that she fell climbing down the ladders from the trampoline. I tried to take a look at her arm but she screamed and looked like she was going to pass out.
"Tay I'm going to have to take her to the hospital. It's not good." I told her. Harper leant against me and kept crying for Taylor. I felt horrible because there was nothing I could do to help her and it would take Taylor almost 8 hours to get here.
I stood up and started taking her to the car, keeping Taylor on the phone for her so that she could take her mind off it. "Mommy. I want mommy." She cried, now coughing everywhere from how worked up she was. I grabbed a tissue and wiped the snot from her nose then got into the car.
I felt so horrible that I couldn't just get her the one thing she needed for comfort in that moment. Or so I thought. "It's okay baby, mommy is on her way." Taylor told her.
