"Hold the applause, the favourite is here." Charlie Weasley announced his long-awaited arrival with a booming voice and several tiny confetti cannons, complete with little trumpets to add to the fanfare.
At any other time, it would've earned him a cheer, a hug from each of his siblings, and maybe a cake if Mrs. Weasley was feeling generous. But he had just happened to intrude on the bridesmaid dress fitting, welcomed by cautious stares and mumbled responses.
Mrs. Weasley, however, did still rush over to him, pulling him into a warm hug and placing a wet, sloppy mum kiss on his cheek.

"I feel so underdressed. I should've worn my gold dress with pins all along the bottom." He gasped dramatically, following his mum into the lounge room. Both Juniper and Ginny were standing on the coffee table, trying on their bridesmaids dresses while Mrs. Weasley and Fleur measured and altered the fabric to fit them best. "Fleur, I thought your sister was arriving the day of the wedding."

"She is?" Fleur blew a strand of hair away from her face, her eyebrows furrowed.

"Then what's she doing standing on the table?" Charlie pointed to Juniper, resting his forearms on the couch to watch them.

"That's not my sister." Fleur laughed loudly, more amused by Charlie's mistake than Juniper thought was necessary. "That's Juniper, Fred's girlfriend."

"Wow. How much is he paying you, Juniper?" Charlie raised his eyebrows teasingly. Juniper finally moved her eyes away from the ground, looking at Charlie Weasley for the first time, and was immediately intimidated.
If he had stood straight, he would've towered over Juniper, despite her standing on a table. Through his t-shirt she could see that his muscles were thick and well-defined from years of wrangling dragons. Burn scars covered his arms and a particularly long one dragged down his face, only adding to his strong and dangerous stature. His massive hands wrapped around the coffee cup that Mrs. Weasley had just handed him, able to shatter it if he held it a fraction tighter. He totally could've taken on a mountain troll in a fist fight if he wanted to.

"Not enough." Juniper deadpanned, too taken aback by how large Charlie was to breathe or act like a normal person. The roles were completely reversed, like he was the Veela and she was the helpless admirer.

"Cheapskate." Charlie laughed back, the sound filling the room with warmth. Juniper watched his deep brown eyes and soft smile shine through his rough exterior, his eyes crinkling at the side as he laughed. "Well let me go negotiate a better deal for you, I'll be back with your bonus."

"Don't come back without my money." Juniper called out as he started up the stairs, each one creaking under his weight. He playfully saluted back, sending Juniper into a spiral, cringing at every second of that interaction. What the fuck was she saying?

"That was so painful to watch." Ginny said, looking at Juniper who had her head in her hands. "No way you're in love with two of my brothers."

"It's not my fault your family has such amazing genes." Juniper sighed, fanning her face. "Well done, Mrs. Weasley."

"Thankyou, Juniper." Molly tried to hide her little grin as she pinned the last of Juniper's hem.

All the boys had been banished to Bill and Charlie's old bedroom, cramped together while they waited for the girls to be finished with their dresses downstairs. Fred paced the length of the room, George stared out the window, and Harry and Ron played a game of Red Hands, trying to dodge the other's slaps. Bill was on the bed reading through a copy of Fleur's wedding binder, his pre-wedding nerves filling the room with a tense air. Suddenly, his ears pricked up, sitting up straighter as he heard the distant sound of footsteps coming up the stairs.

"Someone's coming." He said ominously, placing the binder to the side. All the boys turned to look at the door, watching as Charlie opened it slowly, a wide smile as he anticipated applause.
