Chapter 22

We all sit around the room talking to the girl. I like the girl because she seems so innocent, so sweet. She told us that she would like to stay with us till the whole thing is done and over with. Sammi takes her upstairs and gets her settled in. He talks to her about going to her apartment and getting her clothes in the morning. 

I look around the room and still do not see Ville. My mind starts to wonder where he could be. I begin to think about possibly seeing Aaron out on the property and about how much Aaron is capable of. 

I stand to my feet and walk to the office. When I near the door I see Ville in the office, sitting in a chair, and viewing all of the files on the computer. My heart settles now that I know that he is okay.

I stand in the doorway and watch him looking through the files on the computer. He begins to move around in the chair and look my way. Green eyes meet green eyes. I want him. I need him. I start to feel so horrible because I have not been all that loving with him lately. He takes it and does not complain.

I don't deserve this man in my life. He is always so good to me and deserves better. 

I break from my thoughts as Torsti's voice cuts through like a knife, "I will call Risto and tell him that we think that we found out who did this to him, and see what he wants to do."

I nod my head, trying not to break eye contact with Ville; but also letting Torsti know that I am paying attention to him as well. Torsti turns around and begins to walk out of the hallway. 

"What are we going to do about this girl?" Ville asks, as he leans back into the chair.

I cast my eyes to the heavens, "Uh, I don't think that she poses any kind of threat to us. I say lets let her stay and see what we can find out from her."

"Why in the heck is your ex doing this to us? Why would he hurt Risto like that? Risto had nothing to do with you and him and now he is at home recovering from his wounds that he did not deserve to begin with" Ville says.

His words cut deep into me and I am rendered speechless. I do not know what to say. I do not know what to do. It feels like I am loosing everything that I have ever loved. I take a deep breath in and walk to the front room. I pass Torsti on the phone talking to Risto. I walk to the back door and open it. I walk outside and to the wooded area. I make my way through the trees and to a very large rock. I sit on the rock, waiting and listening.

When all I hear is the sweet sound of silence I break it, "Aaron, I know that you have been hiding around the house. You want me? You got me right now. Just leave my friends alone. They did nothing to you".

I hear the cracking of dead leaves on the ground. It sounds like footsteps coming closer. 

"You will pay. Everyone that you have ever loved will die... I thought that Vivian was dead and that is why I had left. He will be the only one that survives this whole thing" I hear Aaron tell me. 

"What did they do to you? What have I done to you? You are the one that told Kelly to go to the house and kick me out" I replied.

"You were already fucking him before I did that. You were cheating on me" I hear Aaron say as he walks into view.

I look at him and see his unkempt hair tousled around his head. The clothes that he wears is dirty and torn. He looks as if he has been living in the wooded area for weeks without a shower.

I hate when he goes on and assumes that I was sleeping around on him first. Usually there is no way to change his mind when he reaches a thought like that. I did like Ville from the first time that I seen him. I loved his long dark locks of hair, his tattoos, his sweet face, and his style of clothing. I loved everything there is to love about that man. And the more I am around him the more I love. He has opened up my eyes to the thought and possibility that one man and one woman can love each other. That there does not have to be any games or constant arguments. The only time that we have really fussed was because of Aaron, and what he did to Risto.
