𝑃𝑙𝑜𝑡 ~ A child, of the waters? Perhaps of the lake? A child found all alone, and only one person willing to take care of them. He wonders what secrets this child may hold.

Heh, I'm currently contemplating the au that this will be in. Eventually it'll click. Hi! So this will be the morning half Christmas chapter's

"Who....are you?" A fae stood by the water's edge, his gaze locked on the figure sitting by the lake, heavy breaths being heaved as he held his bloody side. Long hair cascaded down like a waterfall, a soft hum being heard as the lilies by the water swayed in the wind. "Answer me!" He yelled, the hum coming to an abrupt stop.

They turned their head, soft eyes landing on him, their gaze moving up to lock with his. Their mouth hung open in intrigue before they stood up, their long white gown dragging in the mud as they got closer to the fae. He stood on guard, lifting his weapon despite the pain he felt. He took a step back, the child pausing before raising their hand.

"What are yo-...huh??" He froze up, taken by surprise as several flowers sprouted up from the ground around him. He prepared to attack but stopped as he felt his wound being healed. His body relaxed as he watched the plants return to the ground, his attention shifting to the child.

They lowered their hand, a sad smile forming on their face before they turned and walked towards the water. "Wait!" They stopped, turning slightly to the fae. "I... I apologize for my actions just now. I was being disrespectful and aggressive, please forgive me" he went down on one knee and bowed. The child opened their mouth, closing once again before turning around.

The fae watched as they returned to the water and walked in, turning halfway and waving with a smile before submerging themselves under the water. He stood up, staring at the calmed waters before turning and walking towards the woods. The thought of the child lingering in his head, but he was a soldier, he can't think of a child right now. He has a kingdom to protect, he has to protect.

He must protect... But maybe, just maybe he'll see them again?

"Come on Silver, I'm sure the water won't be so bad!" A fae held a child in his arms, his silver hair glistening in the sun. The child held on to him, peering at the lake as he lay his head on his shoulder. Another fae walked alongside him with a cheerful one marching by his side.

He went over and set the little boy down by the water's edge, his iridescent eyes watching the ripples on the surface. He smiled softly, turning to look at the fae and pointing at the water. The fae hummed in question, looking out at the lake along with the other two, there in the center of the lake was a head poking out, their eyes squinting as they stared at the group.

"UAH-" their eyes widened as their head dipped below the water instantly, the fae chuckling at such a manner. He waved slowly at the child as their head slowly rose above the water once again. He gestured them over, their head lifting more as they smiled brightly and swam through the water like a bullet, jumping onto the shore before balancing themself on one leg.
