I N A Y A
I just stared at him while he was focused on adding the spices, his tongue was darted out a little in concentration. I couldn't tear my gaze away from this beautiful husband of mine. Those messed up hair and skilled veiny hands were not helping either.
"Add more of that". I gestured to the chilly powder in his hand.
He looked at me, shocked as he warned, "It's already too spicy, that's enough".
I kept a neutral face and glared at him, "I want it to be more spicy or I'm not eating it. You eat all of that alone". I pointed a finger towards the vessel.
He huffed and added a little more, making me grin widely.
I could sense that I'm acting weird, but the hormones were to be blamed!
He served the pasta in two bowls and we walked into the hall, placing them on the table, he settled on the sofa infront, while I sat on the carpet on ground. He chuckled and joined me on the floor. I smelled the delicious aroma of food infront of me and hummed in delight. It smelled tasty!
"Dammnn! This smells so goodd". I praised and he laughed, "Dig in then".
I giggled and ate a spoonful, I couldn't help the smile that followed at the amazing taste. The perfect blend of spices, rubbery texture of pasta was enough to send me on a delightful tour of amazing tastes.
I looked up and he was equally happy.
"Can I suggest you something?" I asked and he nodded his head, gesturing me to continue.
"Leave this business and stuff, become a chef". I added and he choked on his food. I was quick to hand him the glass of water. He gulped it down and we both laughed out loudly.
He spoke after a while, "I thought you were suggesting something about the pasta". I just giggled and we continued devouring it while watching the cartoon I was watching earlier.
Masha and the Bear.
That's one of my favourites! I don't like watching humans on screens, I'm already tired of watching them in real life.
So yeah! Cartoons.
We both ate and laughed, totally engrossed in our little world of fun! And for a moment, it was just us. Nothing else in the world mattered.
Once we were done, I got up, taking the plates. While returning, I noticed that a little sauce was smeared at the side of his lips. I placed the plates back on the table and leaned closer to his face.
A little tease won't hurt right?
He was caught off guard as he blinked twice. I lifted my hand and placed it on his cheek, smirking. His breath hitched visibly as I trailed it down his chin and then wiped off the sauce with my thumb, gently brushing his lips.
I laughed mutely and moved away only for him to hold my wrist, "What do you think you're doing?" He asked, his voice low and commanding.
I gulped, "What? I was just wiping off the sauce". I spoke in an obvious tone, acting unaffected while my insides were jumping and running around-like always.
