A H A D

Peace? At this point, I was questioning my own sanity.

Remind me if it was really my idea to hang out.

I've been working on my laptop-okay, let me rephrase that. I was trying to work on my laptop. But with these idiot brothers of mine and a bestfriend who was living in his villain redemption arc era, the mere action of copying out necessary data felt like a workout.

Kaif was perched on the window ledge of my office's corner window like the maniac he absolutely was, singing or whistling a tone every now and then.

Asim was seated across the leather couch from me, with an authority like he owned the room-which he did not. And Ahmed? He was sitting on the floor rug near him, his back resting against the couch Asim sat at. He was eating popcorn and staring at something in his phone like it owed him money, all the while feeding popcorn to Asim too.

Never thought I'd survive to see this day.

"Bro?" Ahmed called out with a mouthful and Asim just hummed in reply, typing on his phone furiously.

"Don't you think if Kaif Bhai did anything normally, Mumbai would have had less traffic? And we'd have had a little less headache!"

Kaif shot him a glare over his shoulder while I stifled a chuckle, looking at Asim who was already staring at me with that funny look on his face.

Kaif drawled as he spoke, "Or maybe, if you stopped stuffing junk food like oxygen after a workout, you'd have enough brain cells to form a valid opinion." But the smirk on his face gave away any seriousness.

"Says the one who'd pounce if I named the flavour of these." Ahmed scoffed, earning a curious glance from him. Asim and I burst out laughing as he was eating Kaif's favourite flavour.

"Is it salted caramel?" Kaif jumped down from the window ledge, already marching towards Ahmed who stuffed the last few crumbs into his mouth hurriedly and showed him the empty pack.

Asim and I burst out laughing hysterically as Kaif smacked the back of his head and mumbled, "Saale! Bakasur bhi tujhse motivation leta hoga!!"
(You idiot, even Bakasur might take motivation from you)

Ahmed shot him a mocking laugh before standing up and running into the bedroom attached to my office.

Was I seriously sitting here? Watching my brothers fight over a pack of caramel flavoured popcorn?

I grabbed a new pack from under my table and tossed it over to Kaif, "Ye le!"
(Here!)

He catched it in time, grinning wide as he settled beside Asim who was back to typing on his phone.

"Kaif Bhai?" Ahmed called out again and I groaned under my breath, "That's enough Ahmed!" I scolded, turning to Ahmed who was spinning in an office chair.

Seriously?

"You could've proposed Zara Bhabi straightaway. Why did you do all this 'some other woman' drama then?" He asked and Asim looked up, "I've got the same question."

Kaif smirked proudly, "I'm a man of actions."

"And zero brain cells!" I muttered, rolling my eyes as Asim and Ahmed hollered with laughter, Kaif already thinking of ways to kill me without having to kill me.
