A U T H O R

One day ago;

St. Lavis Resort, NEW DELHI,

The lighting of the room was dim, a shade of grey white, enveloped in silence except for the low hum of the AC.

Hassan sat on the couch, a glass in his hand as he twirled the wine in it. His eyes were fixed on the door, waiting for someone's arrival.

After a few minutes, faint, then sharp clicking of heels echoed in the place as the door clicked open.

And walked in, Tanya.

Her brown hair descended down to her waist in waves, her dress was a black bodycon, stopping just above her knees.

Her eyes adjusted to the vision, and the moment their eyes met, they smirked.

She knew the motive behind this meeting.

"Well, It's really not a pleasure to meet you again... Hassan." She spelled, her voice dropping an octave as she took a seat across him on the couch.

He smirked. "The feelings are mutual."

"I never thought you'd call me, specially with everything that's happening around." She started and his gaze darkened for a second before he replied, "It's nothing I can't manage."

"Business collapse? How do you think you'll manage it? For once, Mr. Sheikh, I pity you."

His eyes snapped up, tracing her face with a dangerous glint. "Watch your tongue."

"You've helped me once. That's the only reason I tell you this-don't risk The Ordain. She can be yours without risking it." She suggested, her face a serious mask of thoughtfulness.

He gritted out, "She's already mine."

"Really? So where is she? I don't see her with you, Mr. Sheikh." She sneered, her voice dripping with mock. Mocking him for his failure.

His blood boiled with rage. "And you couldn't even gain his forgiveness after that! Couldn't tell him that you never meant to do that to him?"

The jab was sharp as Tanya stiffened.

She knew she had wronged Ahad. But she justified it with reasons her own-stupid, pathetic reasons.

And after losing him is when she had realised what she lost.

Too late.

Tanya composed herself, putting the thoughts away as she answered, "I got a chance to stay with him at least for a year, it doesn't matter if the reason was love or your task. But what about you, Hassan? You couldn't even express it to her."

Her scoff was loud and he clicked his tongue, laughing loudly. And before she could process it, the muzzle of a gun was pressed at her forehead.

Hassan was dangerously close, his eyes burning with anger as he grumbled, "Say as much as you're commanded to. You might be a bloody whatever in London, but right now, you're at my mercy. Do as I say and leave, you'll be paid enough."

She gulped, shifting back and nodding her head. He smirked and sat back, with an ease like he wasn't a second away from killing her earlier.

She straightened up. "I'm here for a deal."

"Present." He spat.

"I help you get to her, and you clear the misunderstanding, tell him that it wasn't my decision to betray him."
