The screen glowed softly in the dim light of my study. Names, numbers, and connections.

Ahmed stood across from the couch, tablet in hand, as he swiped various slides on the projector. We were waiting for Asim and Kaif to join us.

"What's the information so far?" I asked, my tone firm, lacking any hint of emotion.

He swiped once and the slides changed. He explained it thoroughly. Hassan's empire wasn't loud. It was layered-beneath companies with legitimate fronts and charity trusts that masked his filthy dealings. Construction projects were funded by 'silent partners' who preferred not to ask questions.

I leaned back in my chair with my fingers interlocked, eyes scanning the details.

I nodded, turning to look when Kaif entered the room. He was silent, the type that meant nothing but danger. Asim followed shortly after, his steps firm and heavy.

The room fell silent, Ahmed's voice filling the space again. "Hassan's main money doesn't sit in one place," he said, pointing to the blinking green map with pinned locations. "Dubai, Singapore. Whatever looks clean on the surface is funded from there."

"Any patterns?" I asked, looking at Ahmed who clicked a few keys, followed by the quick formation of codes only he understood.

"Dubai handles the movement, and Singapore handles the money trail. The auditors are linked."

Of course.

I hummed softly, finding the patterns largely predictable. "And here?" I pointed to the map laid on the table in front. "India."

"Here's where the public face of his work stands." Asim added, "His construction supply business, charities and public projects that come under normal businesses."

Kaif came forward, his voice calm like he wasn't speaking of destruction. "We begin from the root of it all. First, we target the major bases and in ways he doesn't suspect it's us. India first will confirm our involvement, so Dubai and Singapore are good roots to pull."

"Dubai partners first then," I articulated.

"Who meets them?" Asim asked, and the room fell silent.

I leaned forward, my eyes fixed on the monitor in front as I declared, "None of us. I'll figure that out, but just keep this as plain as possible."

Kaif smirked. "If Dubai pulls out, Singapore will follow."

"Yes," I said quietly. "No over-smartness or bravado, let him assume he has the upper hand. And-" I leaned in, "-none of you knows who Hassan Raza is, except me."

"Why would they believe us over a man they've been working with for years, Bhai?"

"Fear doesn't need explanations, Asim. Because, in business, when reputation and money comes into the picture, no one denies a safe exit. And we will give them exactly that-proof, safe exits, and explanations."

They agreed and I passed the laptop, making sure they knew each step.

Meanwhile, I turned to Ahmed, my tone serious as I instructed him. "Stay hidden for as long as possible. It's better that way."
